I've heard the " fish don't vote" remark, and it pretty much sums up how vessels are named now. I served on a couple of the 41 for Freedom boats so I have that down, but I just can't get used to attack boats named after cruisers and battleships.
Getting to be a curmudgeon in my old age, I...
Then I would suggest reading it. I posted a link that was appropriate for the discussion, if you have a problem with it, please take it up with the author.
Personally, I believe that people be able to determine what risk they are willing to take, and the medical questionnaire in scuba is...
@Scuba Lawyer, an interesting side note, I once referred to my initial SCUBA training as "Dad's School of SCUBA Instruction and Auto Repair" in a post. I get a PM from Sam wanting to know what agency that was, and how it developed. I think he was a bit disappointed it was my sense of humor...
I learned to dive solo, there was one set of gear so the only time my "instructor" was in the water was to practice buddy breathing on a double hose. All of my dives were solo until I met someone in high school that dove, even then I perfered solo. I dove for 17 years before I finally got a...

I'd say it's the distance you can recognize it's a diver, a blur doesn't help you spot your buddy. My problem is estimating in clear water, since I'm in it so little.
The buoyancy depends on how much air you put in it. A normal person should need just a little air in the vest to stay on the surface. When snorkeling with my wife, who is not a diver, I had no air in the vest and would swim down when I wanted a closer look.
I had to look up other vests to...
It's a matter of honesty, if one sells an item claiming it is new, then there should not have been used and there should be no wear. Any honest dive shop sells demo equipment at a discount. I would approach them about the problem and gauge their reaction, as mistakes do happen, and resolve it...
I wasn’t that bored so I was only looking around the pipeline, didn’t think about getting there, won’t make that mistake again. Getting to look more like local talent, or an inside job.
I'm not so sure the US did that deed, but that is the type of mission the Carter was built to accomplish. As for threading the needle, it's been done before.
