Nice first post Chris H 2, welcome. From what I hear you should enjoy those dive ops. I was out
today with Aldora, tomorrow I'll be at the cenotes with Dennis from Diablo Divers/Aquanauts.
Given the cost of the non-LED lights by UK are holding steady, whilst the LED module has hit $99, I figured there must have been a bump in the cost of the LEDs itself more than just a transport cost issue. There is lots more competition in the LED dive light market now, I thought that would...
Okay, crusty clam that I am, I have surfaced from parts unknown to ask a question.
I was thinking about getting a friend a dive light for xmas, and when I checked into the prices I was surprised to see how much they have risen in the past year or two. My C8eLED that I paid something like $75...
Congratulations. I think the cool water and sometimes limited vis of the breakwater make it a much tougher place to learn than in clear tropical waters, good job for getting certified!
I saw something similar posted by Eric Cheng a while back, a flying inflatable/ultralight combination he was using with Jim Abernathy. As for me, I'd go for a refurb'd PBY as my ideal travelling dive platform.

Got in one short but much needed day of diving on a sunny and calm day yesterday. Vis opened up to ~60-70 in spots at Pirates Cove along the northern side. Less vis and more current just across the way at Hen rock. Water temps above 60 feet were in the balmy upper 60's. The lobster hunters...
Hi folks,
I heard the vis at Catalina was murky after the rains last week, has it
cleared out? Did the fire result in more particulate being carried in the
run-off? Can't wait until my next visit, which may be soon!
Regards,

I second a look into Juliet, I haven't been diving with them but I paid a visit to the boat when she was docked near my hotel in Miami this spring, nice folks. Blackbeards and Cuan Law also come to mind as sailing charters. You should always keep in mind many "sailing" charters will often...
