Are there any links to buy a shore dive site map for Curacao? Do they even make GPS maps for Curacao? couldn't find one on GPSFileDEpot.

are most shore dive locations such that you don't really need a 4wd truck or are they more remote dirt roads where it would be advisable? There's only 2 of us so we won't be loaded down too badly

All set with our accomodations for our first trip 1/2 in Westpunt, 1/2 in Willemstad. Definitely getting a car/truck. Any outfits better than the rest? Any negative reviews out there to stay away from?

Thanks for all the advice folks. Since we're meeting friends for the conference, we've decided to do the first 6 nights up north with Sunshine and GoWest diving, then we'll be staying at the Marriott to be in the "thick of it" without having to drive 40 minutes each way for the remaining 5 days...

I definitely second the recommendation on doing the book work before you get there. PADI's e-leraning is at you own pace, very easy to follow and intuitive. Save the vacation time for the skills portions! Koen

We'll be going to Curacao for a combo conference/vacation. Bunch of veterinarians will be at the Curacao Marriot. That being said my wife and I aren't really big resort hotel people. Any suggestions for other local hotels or villas nearby? Any areas to avoid in that vaccinity? Dive shops...
