SAN DIEGO - A man who was scuba diving died Sunday

LOL, cardiac incident survival while underwater is going to be low, not sure that has anything to do with fitness. I just think that fitness is not essential to diving. It adds value of course but its not essential.

    AOW Dive Expiration

This is a PADI thing not necessarily a SCUBA thing. A different agency will give you a different experience.

SAN DIEGO - A man who was scuba diving died Sunday

50 yards from the anchor to the wreck Why so far? I disagree that fitness is essential for diving. Granted fitness is good for any activity but essential it think is over stating.

What is a good brand for a dive watch for a reasonable price?

I've got the Seiko and love it but I would never wear it diving. dive watches for diving went the way of the buggy whip.

    Long Beach Scuba Show

This was my third year in a row. I like the reunion aspect. I wish there was more equipment and less travel representation. It would be great is some of the manufactures would announce new releases and products at this show.

When do you put the weight belt on?

On a typical jacket BC there is nothing there to prevent the belt from coming off. In this case its probably just easier to get the belt on and buckled without the BC in the way - especially for new students. Either way it will deploy the same.

Counting strikes: One, two, two, two . . .

Here are your three minors, is it enough to call the dive? Probably. Everyone has their own threshold. Factors such as your friend having drove two hours and you drove one aren't relevant but so many times these type of factors influence our decision whether to call a dive. Thanks for the...

The Thursday (June 19th) meet up is at La Jolla Cove. We alternate each week between the cove and the shores. Look at the meet up on June 5th. There will be plenty of people there to buddy up with. Let me know if you need any info on directions, parking, or the dive itself.

Pressure equalizing, pollen effects and sinus talk

I don't have sinus issues and/or allergies and it doesn't sound like you do either. I take Sudafed an hour or so before I splash if I think there may be a problem or if I'm feeling a little stuffy. Works great.

    Hp100 vs lp 104

I like the LP because I can always get a good fill. Some boats don't do HP and even the ones that do struggle to get a good solid 3500 psi. Some shops also charge more for a HP fill than a LP fill. Also, its easier to get an overfill on a LP which will give you a little more air. Your area...
