looks like a bunch of "I gotchas" - I like the shark one. What kind of shark? Here in SoCal its rare not to see a horn shark, swell shark or even a leopard shark. All of which are harmless.

Different opinion: at the end of the dive and on the surface, reg comes out and is clipped off and mask comes off. Usually my dive buddy and I are chatting about the dive and leisurely waiting for our turn to go up the ladder.

I solved my problem. I could not find the GoPro Hero2 dive housing anywhere for a reasonable price. RageCam has them for $147 which is ridiculous. Eye of Mine has aftermarket dive housing but does not include the larger back door for the LCD screen. They also want $75. There are also some...

Just trying to get a handle on the product time line. Is the GoPro HD Hero2 the same as the Hero 2? In other words, is the Hero 2 the same thing as the HD Hero 2? They all seem to have Hero2 on the camera but referred to as both HD Hero 2 or just Hero 2.

University of California San Diego (UCSD) would fit the bill nicely both academically and a very active dive club. However, its very competitive and if you're out of state probably pretty pricey.

Nice camera, that is definitely an option. I like that the LCD screen come with it.

I dove La Jolla Shores last night. Viz was good and no surge. Surf was maybe 2 feet - pretty easy entry.

Thanks. The only ones Amazon has are from RageCams and they want $174.00 and that's for the housing only!
