    Liability of going pro?

There was a court case in British Columbia a couple of years ago based on the responsibilities of the "buddy" of a skier who died. It's not limited to diving.

    Liability of going pro?

It's not what I am saying. What I am saying is fully possible that you, or I, or Joe Blow diver, don't have to be a "pro" to be put into that position. All you have to be is the most "experienced" person in the group. Four people go diving. Two newbies, one with a bunch of dives and is AOW...

    Liability of going pro?

Not going to dispute that at all. A Rescue Card could be enough in any particular group as you say.

    Liability of going pro?

Cool, that's what I thought. Yes it is, but I would imagine it's the same for a lot of activities. What I am finding interesting in the discussion is that folks are hung up on the Pro thing and not the fact that it's the "experience" or presumption of experience that can make one the target...

    Liability of going pro?

John, in those two cases, did they really have anything to do with being a professional, or was it being the most experienced of the group/pair? If it was the latter, then everyone would be in the same position at some point in time, so being a pro would not seem to make a difference.

Which places have the worst reputation for selling certifications?

There could also be a language issue. I see the OP is showing their location as Italy. Perhaps there are some subtle nuances of the English language that are getting lost.

How about telling us where you have heard of this, especially the comment regarding not even being in the water? You seem to be beating around the bush and have something to say.

    sea lions

Very cool. This time I'm taking my camera and hope to get some nice photos. Just a few more days to wait. None of the divers coming with me have ever done this before. It should be a real treat for them. Fun for me too. Bill

    Dry Suit Fins

Nope, that's all I have ever used. I mostly dive dry. No problem keeping my feet where I want them.

    Dry Suit Fins

I've been happy with option 1 for the last ten years. Frog kicks (modified), helicopter turns, backing up, all good. Put spring straps on them.
