Actually, the old KR questions allowed for students to simply "copy and paste" from the text. As an Instructor, it was rather boring to hear students quote verbatim from the text. The new KR questions require more understanding as a lot of them are questions based on situations or scenarios...

Forget dive gear. It's the crap and tools to fix everybody else's stuff, emergency O2, first aid stuff, AED, etc. That's the expectation here when "leading" dives.

Have a "think" through the chart relating depth, pressure, volume, and density that you went through in Section one. If you understand the relationships between all four, you've got just about every "cause and effect" in diving figured out. Hint: it's the density of the air you are breathing...

I noticed that too, John. I though about responding, but I think you have an instructor who is in some way trying to impress the students regarding her "knowledge". Seems a rather stupid thing to tell your students. Great way to instil confidence in them.

You will review the Knowledge Reviews with her before you do each quiz and the exam. Nothing on the quizzes or exams is anything you haven't already seen and reviewed. Good job for being dilligent in your studies!

There is no being a "stickler" about the tests. They are set, everybody does the same quizzes and exam. They are multiple choice. My advice, do not over think the questions or the options for the answers. They are straight forward. They exist to ensure you read the material and understood...

Goodness. Don't overthink the questions. I had five students last week each have 10/10 on the four quizzes and 50/50 on the "final" exam. The questions are designed to make you think.

Sigh... If done in conjunction with the PADI OW course, they do their 4th dive on enriched air. It's a requirement if doing it that way. The dive is not optional if the student is doing it concurrently. It's not the same as if they were taking a "stand alone" course.
