    PST E7-80 for Doubles

Looking to get my first set of doubles. Looking at PST E7-80. I am 5'6" 155 lbs., diving in a dry suit. When I use to dive with an AL 80, the 1st stage would hit me in the head or the tank would hit me in the butt (~1 in to long). Today Im using a PST100 with a SS backplate plus 10 lbs on...

Spiegel Grove uprighted by Hurricane Dennis !!??

This is at least an intermidiate dive in good conditions. With strong currents or deep penetrations it is expert dive. Go to www.rainbowreef.us for some good pictures of the wreck, it also has the depths. I recommend 32% Nitrox on this dive, 111' will be your plan's max depth. Today were...

Spiegel Grove uprighted by Hurricane Dennis !!??

Dove the SG today, it is upright. Main deck (forward) is at 90', not too much sand in the wreck. Great dive, I can not compare it the way it was, as this was my first dive on it. Went with Ocean Divers, good group, no complaints. I also dove the Duaine (SP?) on Tuesday, another great dive...

    Nitrox and motion sickness

When using Nitrox, does it have any effect on motion sickness? Friday, I was diving off the Lois Ann in San Diego using 32% O2. After the first dive I had a bad case motion sickness and missed the next two dives. :froggy: I took Dramine 20 min before and had half of a breakfast burrito – 2...

AE3753, Good job! Im shure you will be happy with it. The deals at DiveUS are hard to beat. What did you do for thermal protection? Did you go for the factory second Polartec 300 from DiveUS? Thats a good deal too!

    Factory second DUI dry suits?

One mans experiance: I bought one of the factory sconds from USDIVE. I saw it on ebay and called USDIVE to find out what a factory second was. In my case, the suit was never used and was a "second" becase they updated the design. The new model's zipper is 2 inches longer. When I called...

Max pressure for US Divers Micra

We ended up swapping tanks. I made a misake in the frist post, the stamp on her frist stage said "3000 PSI service pressure", the tank regestered 3400. Both setups are yokes. Good dive, it lasted 48 min! I ended up at 300 PSI and she had 825. Thanks for the input

Max pressure for US Divers Micra

your right opiniongirl, some things should not be optimized! So that goes back to the original question: swap tanks or leave it alone?

Max pressure for US Divers Micra

Bleeding it down to 3000 PSI will give the tank 90 cu ft. Not optimal, but better than what happened today! I could just keep my tank and just give her my octopus she she is near by.

Max pressure for US Divers Micra

I was diving with a new dive buddy today and she used her air at a rate much faster than I. Today she was nearly empty while I still had 1100 PSI. I have a E7-100 tank and she has a steel 80 (rented). She is using her own US Divers Micra reg that has 3000 PSI max stamped on the first stage...
