For a good quality suit you should check out Wetwear, Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities. I have a great suit from them. Their prices are very comparable. I think a base price suit custom made starts at around $199. You should...
I get my custom suits from Wetwear. I do know someone who ordered from Wetsuit warehouse though. All I can say is.....she bought a new suit the next season. Look into the quality of there suits and the type of material they use. These things are important.
Good Luck!!!
ronbeau is right. Wetwear can really make you a suit that fits great both on top and bottom. I am also very curvy, so I know where you are coming from. The problem with getting a hyper stretch or any other wetsuit that has to stretch to fit you, is that you loose thickness and durability. If...
Wetwear does zipper repairs. Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities
They are cheap and have a quick turm around.
I have the same suit as "thatguyoverthere Wetwear can really help guide you in the right direction. They have been making suits for over 30 years and are very knowledgeable on what to wear in what temperatures.
Diver save....dive happy!
Fit is the most important thing here. A suit that fits properly will keep you way warmer than one that dose not. You can go with a farmer john and jacket but the problem with that is that if you ever want to wear just the jacket by its self it will be a little big because it is made to wear...
Folding the suit is OK but it's not the correct thing to do. Most people do not fit ideally into a stock suit, so your situation is very common. You cant just cut off the excess because then the ankle will be too big, because what was once the calf is now at your ankle. The best thing to do...
I have to agree with Ms.diverusa ...cute name by the way! I love my Wetwear suit! You should defiantly check out their website before making a decision. Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities
The first suit I ever owned was a Henderson gold core. It was OK.....but hard to get on after a few dives. I have never heard of having to be wet in order to put on a "wet"suit....who wants to do that! It also collapsed after about 20 dives...it went from a 3mm to about a 1.5mm.
Then...
You can get great quality and resonable prices at Wetwear. I think there website is Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities.
I would go with a full suit 3/2 mm. I have a 3/2 jumpsuit from Wetwear and I have been to Hawaii, and other tropical locations. This was perfect. I also purchase a 3 mm Short sleeve shorty to go over my full suit when I need more warmth. I usually only use the shorty in the winter months in...
I know you already ordered your suit, BUT...... Wetwear has a test kit they will send you. They send you wrist bracelets that you wear out of different types of neoprene and skin samples that you can put underneath the neoprene. You wear them for a few hours and see if you have an allergic...
It has been my experience that the best suits are custom made. Wetwear offers a great line of affordable custom wetsuits. You don't have to worry about it squeezing your cojones as Rhone Man has experienced. In my opinion there is a big difference between a surf suit and a diving suit. Surf...
