Very well put I am a padi instructor and DON'T use the drysuit for buoyancy.
As far as getting used to diving with a drysuit I tend to count time rather than the number of dives. It took a few hours for me to make it look easy. For cold water drysuit is the only way to go.
Any Nirtox tank should be marked - period -
My nitrox tank is also O2 clean so filling it at a station that's not set up for it means I have to get it cleaned again.
If there's only 800 psi left just drain it and get air, that way you know what you're diving with.

Padi has them in a kit. You will have to analize your gas to know what percent O2 you have and go from there.
