    I am just a collector.

    Megalodon Tooth Haul

And yes - most were in good shape. I ended up with two that were 6"+ I think, one I measured for sure was 6-3/8".

    Megalodon Tooth Haul

We went out with Jet Lag. Got lucky - we booked for Thursday and Friday, we had beautiful weather. Wednesday and Saturday were blown out. Typical NC weather patterns...

    Megalodon Tooth Haul

It was a decent haul, I am definitely satisfied with it for 2 trips out. My buddy who went with me killed it, he definitely got more teeth than me. We both got some nice ones but he probably found the nicest of what we brought back.

    Megalodon Tooth Haul

Went out for two days last week diving for teeth, ended up with a decent haul. These teeth were found roughly 40 miles offshore of Wilmington, NC. Haven't been cleaned yet.

    Calvert Cliffs MD fossil dive

Yeah, I have heard tales of VA rivers producing teeth as well, but people aren't quick to give up details.

    Calvert Cliffs MD fossil dive

My parents retired and moved to the Northern Neck, so I am somewhat familiar with the area, but haven't spent any time out there looking for fossils. There is also an island called "Shark Tooth Island" unofficially, not sure what the real name of it is. Apparently it's privately owned and only...

    Calvert Cliffs MD fossil dive

What about beaches on other side of bay (Viriginia side - beaches at Westmoreland park?) - has anyone ever dived there?

    Recreational Scooter for winter diving

Not sure about the Seadoo or Yamaha, haven't used one, Diver's Supply sells a Yamaha for $295 that's rated only to 15 feet. Not sure if I would trust it. The AV-1s are heavy in the water and really heavy out of the water. I dig for teeth with a BlackTip, it's super light and easy to manage in...

How many cylinders do you own?

    2 x HP100 doubles 1 x HP119 doubles 4 x HP100 3 x AL80 1 x AL40 1 x AL19 I don't plan on any more at this point. But that's what I keep saying and keep ending up with more...

    Diving Morehead City in October

Yeah, you're probably looking at 65-70 degree water easily. I usually this time of year would be in a 5 mm or dry with light undergarments.

    Diving Morehead City in October

There's plenty to see in NC, both offshore and closer in. If it's your first time in NC you can't really go wrong, you aren't going to miss out by staying inshore, you'll get good dives in, as long as the weather agrees. There are some can't miss dives in that area, but get a few NC dives...

I have heard good things about Instigator several times but haven't been out with them myself yet, thanks for the feedback.

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

DUI suits are made in America, however I am not sure that DUI is an American company anymore.

    TOVATEC Sea Surge DPV

Here is one I recently saw someone using to dig for fossils - The SCUBAJET water jet system - SCUBAJET It claims 7 mph and weighs as little as 6.6 lbs. I asked them for feedback on it (as far as what they were using it for) and they basically said it had some issues and definitely wasn't...

    TOVATEC Sea Surge DPV

The Seacraft Ghost claims 1.6 m/s, which would be about 315 ft/min, but why spend $11ish thousand when you can buy this one that exceeds that speed? And its only 7 lbs! :D

    New DPV - Dive Xtras

Paging @DA Aquamaster as I believe he uses the smaller battery packs sometimes. I will say that the nose pointing up isn't THAT much of a bother. I barely notice it anymore. I could see it being a problem somewhere like a cave where it needs to stay trimmed out 100% of the time, but for my...

    New DPV - Dive Xtras

In freshwater I use no weight in the nose with the DeWalt 9.0ah batteries. If I remember correctly, I used the thick and the thin plate that came with the scooter, with a bunch of stick on wheel weights on the thin plate, when using the Waitley 9.0ah batteries. It's been a while since I used...

    New DPV - Dive Xtras

Also - now that I look at the site you linked - the 8.0ah battery is $179 (so $350+ for two...), the 9.0ah batteries are $249 on average for a 2 pack.

    New DPV - Dive Xtras

I have used the Waitley 9ah batteries and the (significantly heavier than the Waitley) DeWalt 9ah. The DeWalt 9ah and 12ah are the same weight from what I understand. I didn't notice a difference between the two as far as trim goes once the scooter was neutral.
