Yeah, you're probably looking at 65-70 degree water easily. I usually this time of year would be in a 5 mm or dry with light undergarments.

There's plenty to see in NC, both offshore and closer in. If it's your first time in NC you can't really go wrong, you aren't going to miss out by staying inshore, you'll get good dives in, as long as the weather agrees. There are some can't miss dives in that area, but get a few NC dives...

Also - now that I look at the site you linked - the 8.0ah battery is $179 (so $350+ for two...), the 9.0ah batteries are $249 on average for a 2 pack.

I have used the Waitley 9ah batteries and the (significantly heavier than the Waitley) DeWalt 9ah. The DeWalt 9ah and 12ah are the same weight from what I understand. I didn't notice a difference between the two as far as trim goes once the scooter was neutral.
