Best threading path for Perdix bungee

The straps from SW have buckles so getting over rings isn't an issue. That being said I still prefer my Perdix without straps, I used bungee for a while but now have switched to surgical tubing. The tubing is much easier to get over the rings on my drysuit.

    First Meg dive coming up.

Have fun and take it easy. Florida tooth diving is nice and relaxed as you have insanely long bottom times as opposed to NC tooth diving. Take a ping pong paddle to fan with and a mesh bag you can close and clip off.

    5mm wetsuit options

The Sport S-Flex looks like it is maybe the newer version of mine? I am looking online, mine is a few years old so either that is the updated version or maybe the Sport line was replaced with one of the Revel/Reactive lines? Not sure. Mine looks like this one - CLICK HERE - but in 5mm.

    5mm wetsuit options

I have a Bare Sport 5 mm - it has ankle zips but not wrist zips. I find it easy to get on and off.

Shark and wreck diving in North Carolina

Morehead/Beaufort isn't the Outer Banks, too far south. Basically anything past Hatteras/Ocracoke I don't consider the Outer Banks, not sure what the actual cutoff is. Have heard Morehead area called the Crystal Coast.

Shark and wreck diving in North Carolina

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Aeolus - I see more sharks there consistently than any other one out of all the wrecks in that area.

    Olympus vs. Discovery?

Also - just noticed you said Atlantic Beach, if that's the case you're also much closer to Olympus than Discovery. Just right over the bridge into Morehead.

    Olympus vs. Discovery?

I prefer Olympus. Both are good operations. I like the Olympus boats better. Also just familiarity with the operation, I have been out with Olympus much more than I have with Discovery. Can't say anything bad about DIscovery except their six pack boat (if they are still running it) does not...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

I wouldn't say its hard to manage at all. And keep in mind I don't mean baggy like the jeans I was wearing in high school in the late 90s, I just mean the suit material itself doesnt stretch at all so for mobility reasons there needs to be some excess. I wouldn't say my suit is "baggy" though...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

Someone else would have to verify as I only used a neoprene suit during one class I took, then bought my own trilam. I think trilams are a little bit baggier of a cut by nature as there is less overall flexibility in the fabric, so therefore might have a little bit more wiggle room with...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

I'm hesitant to give an honest opinion on that, because my Otter Polar undergarments, while I was told by Otter and by another diver who looked at them that they are identical to the Arctics, are not actually the Arctics, so a comparison wouldn't be fair. I didn't find it that much warmer, but...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

I have the Halo 3D as well, I've only worn it once, but it didn't seem much (if at all) bulkier than the basically-Arctic undergarments I have. Just for reference. Could be just me, could be a difference in size/cut.

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

When I had my drysuit made (different manufacturer so take that for granted) they told me to use the option for thicker undergarments only if I was using Weezle undergarments or one of the really thick ones. Their basic undergarment they sell is basically the 4th Element Arctic and they said...

    Buying First Reg

Same - I carry a spare set with me, I've swapped out a second stage once on a boat for myself, that's it. But I have lent out a first stage at least 3 times in past 2 years to a random diver on boat having issues.

    Buying First Reg

Since you mentioned Dive Rite I will say the first reg I owned was Dive Rite, have been very happy with them, to the point where I now have 4 XT1 first stages (doubles set up, pony reg, spare) and 1 FT1 first stage (single tank setup). No complaints with Dive Rite. The local shops to me...

Trip Report Chesapeake Bay Oyster Dive 01/08/22

 I'll have to check it out one of these days, for sure. Not sure how to move the thread, there may be some MD residents lurking in that subforum that would find this interesting, not sure who mod is for this subforum? I guess they differentiate north from south with the Mason-Dixon...

Trip Report Chesapeake Bay Oyster Dive 01/08/22

Sounds like a good time, it's awesome your family dives with you. My kids are still too young (and my wife isn't interested at all) so I am envious. I've heard that while these dives may not sound fun they are an awesome experience. I'd consider joining you sometime on one of these days where...

Scammers hitting dive shops for fraudulent Shearwater/Garmin computer purchases

CORRECTION - Blue Planet is IN DC. Blue Octopus is right outside DC. Keyboard fingers moving faster than brain today. I haven't dealt with Blue Planet, however I know they exist.
