    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

My (non-Seaskin, but from UK) suit came through USPS (not sure what carrier was used on the UK side) and I also paid zero import fee. Was a relief as I had heard a few horror stories about fighting for reductions.

    Diving Morehead City in October

There's not a lot of hand holding in NC. None really. Just be sure to follow whatever dive plan you give the boat, really depends on the operator. I don't want to start posting each ones individual policies on here, some of the NC operators prefer a buddy team, and some put you in the water...

    Diving Morehead City in October

There are worse places to be than Morehead City. Nice little town, good restaurants, maritime museum in nearby Beaufort, Atlantic Beach is nearby.

Install of Si Tech Trigon P Valve

I probably have 30 or so dives in my new drysuit since getting it, still haven't worked up the nerve to pee out of it... :) I keep telling myself as I'm unzipping to pee between dives "next dive day for sure I am hooking this thing up..."

    Neoprene Neck Seal vs Silicone

Worst case scenario just put the ring system on when its time to change your neoprene seal. Try the silicone. If you like the silicone (never lets water in, easy to get over head, maybe colder?) then throw a neoprene onto the neck ring and from there on out you've got 10 minute seal changes.

    Neoprene Neck Seal vs Silicone

I have never installed a neck ring on a drysuit, so I don't know how difficult of a task it is or how much it varies from suit to suit, wish I could help you!

    Neoprene Neck Seal vs Silicone

Paging @stuartv - I believe at one point he had installed a neoprene seal on a ring system.

    Neoprene Neck Seal vs Silicone

I dove at our local quarry last weekend and bottom temp was 41 degrees. My neck wasnt cold. I'm sure the neoprene directly ON the neck is somewhat warmer than the silicone, but my neck has never been cold. My drysuit does have the "warm neck" neoprene collar seen on a lot of drysuits, not...

    Neoprene Neck Seal vs Silicone

It's just opinion, everyone has a preference. I have limited experience with a neoprene neck seal but wasn't a fan. Didn't like having to fold it over and still got wet a little each time I dived it. I now have a Quick Neck system with a silicone seal and I've never gotten a drop in, and its...

    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

The Orust looks to be only slightly more flexible than the QuickNeck ring, but you have to deal with all those little clips. Seems like more of a pain and a higher chance of dropping/losing one of the clips, especially if changing on a boat. Just my .02. I do have the QuickNeck, haven't had...

Cooper River diver missing - South Carolina

Yes, as @Barnaby'sDad says, you need to book far in advance, particularly with WB Diving. They're popular with spearfishers as well, so they satisfy two niche markets, you almost need to book by February if you want a weekend and plan on diving that year... Another option is Jet Lag Charters...

Cooper River diver missing - South Carolina

Ah gotcha, not sure I didn't read it that way, brain must not be firing right today... Plenty of great meg tooth diving out of Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach/Carolina Beach area of NC. The best operations are 6 pack boats, the bigger boats don't know the best spots and dont like...

Cooper River diver missing - South Carolina

Yes, not big on the idea of gators either :D - sharks don't phase me, but gators are not something I am used to.

Cooper River diver missing - South Carolina

I like finding meg teeth offshore NC. A lot deeper so shorter dives but A LOT more viz - 40' - 70' easily most dives. Haven't worked up the nerve for the Cooper yet...

    Diving Morehead City in October

The Hutton or the Indra should work for a shallower wreck if I remember correctly.
