My (non-Seaskin, but from UK) suit came through USPS (not sure what carrier was used on the UK side) and I also paid zero import fee. Was a relief as I had heard a few horror stories about fighting for reductions.

There's not a lot of hand holding in NC. None really. Just be sure to follow whatever dive plan you give the boat, really depends on the operator. I don't want to start posting each ones individual policies on here, some of the NC operators prefer a buddy team, and some put you in the water...

There are worse places to be than Morehead City. Nice little town, good restaurants, maritime museum in nearby Beaufort, Atlantic Beach is nearby.

I probably have 30 or so dives in my new drysuit since getting it, still haven't worked up the nerve to pee out of it... :) I keep telling myself as I'm unzipping to pee between dives "next dive day for sure I am hooking this thing up..."

Worst case scenario just put the ring system on when its time to change your neoprene seal. Try the silicone. If you like the silicone (never lets water in, easy to get over head, maybe colder?) then throw a neoprene onto the neck ring and from there on out you've got 10 minute seal changes.

I have never installed a neck ring on a drysuit, so I don't know how difficult of a task it is or how much it varies from suit to suit, wish I could help you!

Paging @stuartv - I believe at one point he had installed a neoprene seal on a ring system.

The Orust looks to be only slightly more flexible than the QuickNeck ring, but you have to deal with all those little clips. Seems like more of a pain and a higher chance of dropping/losing one of the clips, especially if changing on a boat. Just my .02. I do have the QuickNeck, haven't had...

Yes, as @Barnaby'sDad says, you need to book far in advance, particularly with WB Diving. They're popular with spearfishers as well, so they satisfy two niche markets, you almost need to book by February if you want a weekend and plan on diving that year... Another option is Jet Lag Charters...

Yes, not big on the idea of gators either :D - sharks don't phase me, but gators are not something I am used to.

I like finding meg teeth offshore NC. A lot deeper so shorter dives but A LOT more viz - 40' - 70' easily most dives. Haven't worked up the nerve for the Cooper yet...

The Hutton or the Indra should work for a shallower wreck if I remember correctly.
