I think I've heard that gloves aren't allowed? I always wear them after a lava-rock incident in HI 25 years ago ripped a lot of the skin off my hands (surf pounded me into rocks), and my wife wears them because she gets cold easily.

So when I'm there next week (for the 1st time), which reefs should I dive before they go away?

I thought they gave those to you on the plane/ship. Do you have to do them ahead of time?

Two summers ago we flew to Ft Lauderdale for some boat dives, but a Gulf storm cancelled all our dives. So to keep from wasting a trip, we went to BHB twice and drove up to Epcot. We really enjoyed Epcot, and I got this great pic!

LDSs are small businesses with a wide variety of service and quality levels. Are either of these advertising that they're a PADI 5-Star shop? Another option is to take your son on a cruise and get certified during that.

One more question for everyone. My wife gets cold easy, and I was damaged by lava rock once, so we like to wear exposure suits. Would 3mm be overkill in Cozumel?

Sure! My wife and I will be there early 15th through about noon of the 18th (too short). I'm already booked for villa and dives at Aldora.

Yea, the Westin allows the use of Marriott points, but I booked the Villa - so, nice mention. We got the last room, one of the courtyard rooms. Do they have nitrox? They said that we won't be there for night dives and mentioned we could do night dives from shore. How are the shore dives...
