    northern New England conditions

The next few days look great. I would avoid Saturday at all costs. I would have to guess the full moon and tides probably played a roll in the nubble rescue. I've seen flood tides on a full moon pull at up to 5.2kts. You would be hard pressed to swim against that kind of current.

Where the F*** can we get in the water?

As stated above: Entry is not conducive to those that are not familiar or in good health. That being said, I have done the walk multiple times wearing double 117's. So it is doable, just use caution. See picture below. It really is a great dive. White sand bottom, plenty of reefs. I leave the...

Water 48 Vis 5-15 depending on where you were. The closer to the bottom the better. Saw 3 spear fishermen in the parking lot with a load of tog.

    Steel vs AL—-weight

To be precise you would need more information. But the standard says 4lbs. If you want an actual figure. Do the following: 1. Figure out who makes the aluminum tank. 2. Figure out who makes the steel tank. 3. Look up manufacturers specs for bouyancy of both tanks. 4. You have the number you...

Where the F*** can we get in the water?

Stonington open. Groton point at the Eastern Point Beach parking lot open. Not much to see either way, Vis varies 5 to 15 as usual. A few of my buddies spearfished the lighthouse at Westerly yesterday. No problems whatsoever.

    Found camera Texas

Looking at the file name makes me believe the photos were taken October 22, 2018. Could be wrong, this is assuming the camera had correct date and time in it at time of exposure.

    Closed Hp steel Tanks

Definitely not made by Luxfer... 117's are only made by Faber. 130's are made by PST and Worthington(xs scuba) More than probable, those are 119's. Made by PST or Worthington. The 119 is 1 inch shorter in overall height that a 117. Edit to add: I went back and looked at the top photo again...

Advice on used HP100s, I think 7/8" neck

For education: this has been said before, I am saying it again. A 300 bar din valve is 7 threads deep. A 230 bar din valve is 5 threads deep. All yoke adapters are 5 threads deep. You can not use a thread in yoke adapter on any 300 bar din valves. For the curious... 200 BAR DIN vs 300 BAR DIN

Advice on used HP100s, I think 7/8" neck

To add: 2. Ignore the air only label. Those valves can be used for nitrox if cleaned with the appropriate orings. <-- referring to the xs scuba valves you looked at that are new.

Advice on used HP100s, I think 7/8" neck

    1. Correct (only 02 cleaned if filled with nitrox using the partial pressure blending method. Otherwise if filled with banked nitrox they wouldn't specifically need to be O2 cleaned) 2. Why buy new valves at all? Those valves are suitable for single tank diving. Just have them serviced...

Advice on used HP100s, I think 7/8" neck

You can most definitely use them with nitrox. Have them O2 cleaned. I would not purchase them without having a look inside / them having a new hydro done. Maybe use that in your negotiating. As far as your regs. They need to be din. Those are 300bar din valves and you can not use a yoke...
