I am still trying out my BC options. So far:
On the Zena, I exchanged the large vest and shoulder straps for medium. It is better but the entire bc still rotates around my body. I think this will mean that the bc will rotate with the weight of a tank from left to right. This would be...
What is the preferred way to get to Bonaire from Houston? Do you try to get straight to Bonaire via Dallas and San Juan - or is there some different series of lilypads to get you there that is better.
(Continentals direct flights don't start until December.)
Thank you for your insight.
I agree and would like to wait. We will continue to explore options b/c one of the people in our party has allergies to things like mold that could present a problem.
We are concerned for those in Cozumel. For ourselves, we are terribly disappointed - we just like Mexico and would rather go...
I wonder about that too. It isn't good news when the Presidente ($$$$$) isn't planning to take guests until December 1 at the earliest (according to their website).
We are looking at our options and are planning to donate our deposits.
I'm really sorry for your mom and everyone in Beaumont/Lake Charles area. I'm glad she was able to leave. (Of course, someone from my office in Clear Lake evacuated to Beaumont, to stay in a trailer; I told her that was not a good idea. That person got caught in it in Beaumont.)
I'm still...
I'm sorry I missed Haiti in my list -- they share the island with the Dominican Republic -- it wasn't exactly an oversite. I recognized earlier that they will be devastated. I was just pointing out that it should be east of the States and the Yucatan.
You're right to stock supplies for the inconvenience of loosing power and access to stores. You just don't need to move to the extreme north to save yourself from a Cat 2 when you're inland far enough to miss a storm surge.
After the Rita evacuation, we all have to think about saving the...
Really? Here's the path I see from noaa:

It looks like it will go east of everything except the Dominican Republic...
I agree; it is getting old. The current projections for the storm have it going over the Dominican Republic and then moving east. That should leave the Gulf regions and the Yucatan alone. However, the poor people in the Dominican may suffer serious damage.
Ggunn, you're safe in Austin...even...
I'm tired of hurricanes - can we get off this ride? Where is the exit? I guess we'll be glued to the news for just a little bit longer this year. hmph.
Thanks, Redhatmama. That is valuable information. They are sending the Zena in a large and the Stiletto in a medium. Larry said I can change stuff around as needed. I'm very happy to get your specific feedback - it will help me visualize the different configs and hopefully get a good fit in the end.
Update: Scubatoys is sending me both BCs. I'm still interested in hearing feedback and will post my own after trying them on.
Also, I didn't find the Stiletto interfered with my anatomy at all. It is just a harness, really, and I've worn those for other sports without any issues.
Post more...
I'm sure this won't help the person with the orginal post, but for those who stumble across this I'd like to share: I had a similar experience last w/e. I was told by one person that the fit of a too-tight suit was "good." I told them that I would like to try the larger size anyway.
When I...
I'm getting ready to order my first BC. Trying these two on may not be an option - it is hard to find some products and product lines in town and I will likely be ordering.
I would like to get feedback from women who are a little longer in the torso, like me, on the Zena. (I'm 5'9" and have...
