Welcome to SB. Good to see ya here.
I have a Flexi II system with an HID head. I quite like your system and would like to purchase more components but am having a little trouble finding shops that carry it. Could you list out a few shops in British Columbia that would stock light heads...
Diving equipment on eBay (end time 26-Mar-11 13:44:14 GMT)
Is it about the size of the cylinder in the photo for this ebay post? If so it was probably the cylinder used to inflate the orange BCD. A friend of mine also has a Fenzy with the same sized bottle.
1 martini per 50' when diving air is the "rule of thumb" that I have heard for some years now. Pretty good comparison according to some folks. Dr. David Sawatzky just talked about it in his article in the latest hardcopy edition of "Diver" magazine.

I believe you want to be fairly dialed in before you try Race Rocks. Have a relaxing easy dive at Ogden and get all the bugs worked out. It is a lovely place to dive.
Typically $10.00 per tank but more for extraordinary service. If I hear the crew make any cracks about Canadians not tipping they get our colourful currency in their jar. :D
They would work just fine. The boots available from White's are actually nothing special. And I have seen some divers using just heavy wetsuit booties and a few use converse high-tops. So...just use what is comfortable for you and fits your fins.
The differences won't matter actually. But my advice is, if you are a new diver and just learning, don't plunge into the big purchases...rent, borrow, try out and research before any major purchase. I may not be the only person on this board that will suggest this. Let's see....

An Exercise For Reducing No Mask Swimming Anxiety
This exercise can be done at home and should help you to relax when breathing on SCUBA and it should be especially helpful when the no-mask exercises come along.
Good luck to you...work on it and...
I have to agree...why push it. Relax on the last day. There are a couple of things you don't know for sure, one is the altitude the "puddle jumper" will fly to. For a number of reasons it may fly quite high even on a 20 minute flight. And the "big boy" plane is supposed to pressurize to...
Ahh....I looked at the graph and see where your question comes from and Bryan St. Germain's explanation makes sense. To clarify for me, I do not use graphs of SAC like that since my computer is not AI. My SAC rates are calculated strictly from air used, avg depth and time and I have observed...
I notice the same effect. The only explanation I can think of that applies to me is that I am more disciplined about breathing rate and exertion since I want to extend the time of the dive while remaining within NDL. During shallow dives I am not so disciplined since I know the dive will be...
They may be right....I have had to repair one leak in the bladder on my wife's Zuma. I think the hole was caused by some rubbing that took place during a rough boat ride. The bladder material is very flimsy so extra care needs to be taken when stowing.
Weight-wise it is a great BC but it...
I use a contraption called a "weighted vest" for my weight system. It is a harness with ditchable pouches on the waist band but also includes a thin shot filled pad that is sewn into the back between the shoulder webbings. One advantage of this system is that no extra weight resides on the...
