Charter/LDS Suggestions in Lake Worth Area

Tom, I always liked the center stand to hang onto while getting into the water or out. Especially useful with doubles... Are you using someone else locally which might be more comfortable? This is actually a good discussion for a new thread topic! PS: Steve there is a sticky group of area...

cold water upwelling and massive current

The upwellings been here for quite a few weeks now. We did all the big wrecks off Palm beach a few weeks back, under 55' it was like a slap in the face! you could see the thermocline shimmering!. The current was also so strong that whoever was carrying the float would get uncontrollably dragged...

24" HP Hose for Pressure Guage?

Just a note on Spg lengths ect. I received a reply from Gue regarding the sizing issue. Yes its ok to use a 26" hose for the spg. The stock backplate is ok for all shapes of divers(even with the waist pulled way down below the belly button). Experimentation with a longer plate is ok...

    Sea Sifter

Since I've never been on a "Tooth" dive before it seemed like a pretty good idea. I guess I'll troll the treads a bit and see what people are doing.

    Sea Sifter

Injection molded plastic, high tech and tooth magnet installed would suit me just fine:D It seemed like a pretty good idea without having to make on my self. Are you making them out of screen? I thought about it a little but should probably go and actually try to find some first!

    Sea Sifter

Does anyone know what happend to the company called Sea Sifter? I saw a reference here in the past but the website is no longer there. They make a nice looking sifter that looks like a useful tool on shark tooth dives.

24" HP Hose for Pressure Guage?

The Crotch strap is just under "Soprano tight". If I had a Beer belly it would probably fit just fine;) . I currently have a letter in to Gue to address this issue. There is no way I can dive comfortably and in easy trim with the waist belt going across the middle of my abdomen plain and...

24" HP Hose for Pressure Guage?

As far as the length from the 1st stage to the d-ring being the same for everybody I'll have to disagree due to the following. Due to my height/torso length the waistbelt is actually at an angle from the backplate pushing further down to my crotch. This increases the length needed on the...

24" HP Hose for Pressure Guage?

Just putting my 2 cents worth in here. I'm 6'4. The spg is a tight fit and hard to manipulate, while waiting to get a new hose the buddy I was diving with had me extend the boltsnap with a double ender. Nice temp fix and will let you know if you need the longer hose.

    Getting back into lifting

I guess some of us "hot babes" have never really been impressed by how much weight someone stacks up. Someones not telling the truth;) All kidding aside, the advice to go Light is the best. To much to quick will do more than make you sore.

    Getting back into lifting

You forgot the Hot Babe factor, where you stack up as much as your ego tells you to and lift it with a grin;) just to be impressive Sometimes the Ego really makes you pay:D Not that this has ever happend to me, I just noticed someone else doing it..........

Halcyon Inflator Care to prevent sticking?

I've got two wings with both inflators and havnt had a problem with either. I do use the LDS for service at least once a year and everything is washed in a big bucket then rinsed after every dive. Adding conditioner and blow drying when time permits. If you do have issues get it replaced...
