Drysuit for a 14 year old - HELP

No question that they take time to don, but other than that, our shop has seen very few seam issues come through our doors, one skin rip, no valve issues other than sticky valves (which doesn't happen if you maintain them). As for zippers, we have had several teeth broken in our rentals, but...

Drysuit for a 14 year old - HELP

Far from durable and poorly built? Could you be more specific? I'm curious because my LDS' rental fleet is all fusions, and aside from user error, has had relatively few problems.

Drysuit for a 14 year old - HELP

Can't agree more with decompression. I'm your son's size and love my Fusion Bullet. I started wearing a S/M and it lasted me until 5'10ish, now I have a L/XL and there is still extra room to grow. Unless he is being squished into a S/M, the suit shouldn't be restricting.

Spare Air – The Best Item in Your Scuba Toolbox

Interesting choice of title, wouldn't "toolbox" imply that the item would only be used on the surface? In either case, if I owned one.. that's where it would stay, in the tool box.

Beuchat VRT 80 and Beuchat Octopus support enriched air (ntirox)?

PADI Enriched Air also states that "some manufactures state that their equipment shouldn't be used with enriched air." Taking a look at your owner's manual to get definite answer.

    New to doubles

Whytecliff indeed, it was a good dive until we had to walk up the hill, haha. And yes, I'm speaking of Greg (Did you guess by the bald head?) :chuckle: As you can tell from the picture, my tanks are pretty tall so it's easier to reach the valves, plus still being a kid, flexibility isn't an...

Got my AOW this weekend, now its time to dive and do some specialty courses

Rescue diver is a great course, its all about helping others and working out their problems. Which is great, but.. make sure you have all your problems sorted out first, that way when the times comes for the in-water scenarios, your not the one struggling, only the victim is. I recommend any...

    New to doubles

Thanks for all the advice everyone! Today I managed to drag my boss/tech instructor/course director/LDS owner out to a local dive site. We went over hose routing, valve drills, failures and how the manifold works (which I already knew from filling tanks, but recap is good.) Once in the water...

    New to doubles

I have indeed heard from the instructor that more than one person during the course will turn both of their posts off by mistake, or close their isolator and forget to open it, throwing them off for the next drill. While I am not a technical diver, or obviously even a doubles diver at this...

Pay for my flight and I will. ;) Ah, so it is not that much different than sidemount afterall, just the added step up close/reopen the crossbar. Thanks, i'll be giving this a try on land, and then in the pool! My answer is the exact thing Colliam7 stated below. I see no harm in jumping in a...
