I just checked chat now and it looks like the settings are back. If you look at my picture you'll notice that the settings are not in that bar for me. They are now showing up though so someone must have enabled it again.
The options are messed up:
We used to have options to do things like changing our chat message colours, but now they are stuck to what we had set before the update.
The image you have shown shows the issue with the wrapping being broken. Notice how your "when" cut off mid word instead of...
I do not know who the chat mods are. Froid?
But the list of problems/changes so far is that:
- Missing almost all of the previous chat options
- No more chat sound notifications
- The wrapping of text is broken and is wrapping chat messages right in the middle of words making reading harder
-...
Maybe I am just losing it or my browser is messed up but today when I went onto the chat I noticed the chatbot seems to annouce people entering the room now, and we lost a lot of options in the chat. I can't change things like my chat colour.
I also am no longer getting sound notifications...
Hmm that may be fine to be using. I am still new so I'll let others chime in on solutions and what may be the issue as others likely have more experience.
Sounds like it started to freeflow. Often times I've found the solution is turning the reg so that the mouthpiece is pointing down and then the freeflow stops.
I would follow DAN's advice. You should have spoken with a medical professional who specializes in diving. If you are still worried book a doctors appointment so they can look at the ear. I am not sure I would say trusting online advice is going to be any better than what you were told by DAN...
I am doing my checkout dives next weekend at this same park. So probably another day you know where to not be :P
@Slym I would bring two tanks with you. 2 AL80's. There is not a close place to fill at Welland Scuba Park.
You put it much, much better than I could. It also looks like you are pretty well versed on the topic since it looks like you actually sell these kinds of suits too.
OP I would highly suggest listening to this advice otherwise you may end up with a different kind of discomfort which may also...
Breathing rate while snorkelling ?
I feel like they want to avoid going down a route getting something too thick as that means they'll need additional wait otherwise it will be hard to get down. More weight may mean more work to get around while snorkelling.
Yeah it may work for you. It depends where you are actually snorkelling. Do you know the temperatures? And how long do you normally stay in the water? You'll likely need to wear some weight if you get a wetsuit. The thicker it is the more weight you'll need.
I use a 7mm with farmer john when diving and I am in Ontario too. Have you not been using anything? I am surprised you have been okay in this temperature without one if you spend a while in the water.
Oh yeah it is definitely still a great thing to be good at, but I find what usually happens is that people get focused on a task and aren't thinking. If they aren't thinking about other things they won't think to switch to other tasks. Which is why I think extra practice is also helpful. If you...
I like your advice. I still actually have to do my OW checkout dives but I have done all of my theory and confined pool aspects. I like your advice here and will remember it. I feel like however practicing a lot before going to the OW is quite a factor in this. In the pool at least now that I...
I'll give both of these things a try. The gum and equalizing early and often. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow just to check and make sure all is well, and then I'm also going to the pool. So I can try these things out and see if there are any problems going on.
