I have no idea what has happened there to make them so paranoid, but any time you want to dive in the Red Sea from Egypt, they want a log book. I guess enough people have bought the farm at Blue Hole that laws have been passed.
I've used mine in water that was less than 50 degrees. The only thing that I noticed is that in colder water I actually retained a bit too much spit. Condensation must have been a factor, or maybe I was just drooling because of the wreck. :-)
I love it because of all the reasons listed above, and the fact that it is such a challenge. I'm pretty sure, having learned here, that I can put up with pretty much any conditions I'll find anywhere.
I'm psyched that there is going to be more accessible diving on the Cape, but does anyone have an update about Gloucester for the coming season???
Thanks,
Matt
I'm curious to know if the OP was talking about divers he met in person, or a perception he may have picked up reading too many SB posts written by Internet Quarry Comandos.
Are we talking real-life arrogant divers, or just what you've encountered here???
Well, AL 80's are usually +1 or +2 pounds towards the end of the dive, and keep in mind that wesuits have a variable boyancy--the deeper you go, the less boyant they are. So you don't notice that your tank is becoming positive, because at depth, your wetsuit is less boyant. When I was...
I'm 6' 130 with LONG legs, a short torso and wide shoulders, so I am nearly impossible to fit. Oneil is the best bet. For a fairly low price, they will custom fit a suit for you.

All you need to know is that you have to drain the tank and remove the valve--but have you seen the screeners? Do you really want some slack jawed moron "inspecting" the inside of your tank? These guys...
HHmmm.. I'll start digging out my back yard after work today. I figure I'll build the pool, then make mock-ups to practice wreck/cavern diving. Maybe some jets or wave generators too....
They aren't much use below 50 IMHO, but I do have a lower tolerance for cold. With a warmer climate, it doesn't matter--just open the zipper! You'll cool down in no time.
Folks--
I'm not a zero, but I'm certainly not a dive master yet either. I'm in a "gap year" between work and schoool, and was thinking of using the remaining months to get my PADI IDC work done. I would love to have the ability to teach, and I would also love all the diving I'd be doing in...
