Um, to check their machine, you just use a tank filled with air. If the readings come up 21%, then you are good to go.

I'm diving wet this summer too. I need to get my newish tanks in the water so I can re-weight myself before I go too crazy with charters, etc. though. Keep me in mind. One of the LDS, PG Dive, does shore dives every weekend, and they might still be doing the Wed. night night dive too...

Thal is right here--and comfort in the water isn't just in the "best of times." It matters SO much more when thing are going badly because of choppy water, a leg cramp, a mask flood or lost fin. It matters when your buddy is having a problem, and you need to keep calm and get to him quickly...

I'm pretty certain these will be my last words...I plan on putting them on my tombstone...Though I'd like to be dumped into The Maze in Grand Cayman. :dork2:

Let's also not forget that "good shape" can take several forms--big muscles don't indicate good stamina, etc. Anaerobic and aerobic exercise are very different. My thoughts are with the family.
