Can Suuntos be adjusted to not be as conservative?

If you are really interested in the RGBM and what influences the NDL you could try to geta copy of REDUCED GRADIENT BUBBLE MODEL by R.Wienke published in Znt JBiomed Comput. 26 (1990) 231-256 I am afraid my character set will not display the Greek letters properly so pasting the relevant...

    Shore Diving: Tides and Currents

Tides can vary from under 1m differenc between high and low tide to > 9m in some regions. And the topography dictates the flow rates of the tides. For these reasons there cannot be any standard. Planning your (shore) dive around high or low tide to avoid fast currents is prudent. ALWAYS get the...

    Regulators and Nitrox

Grant, be assured although any EAN > 23 should be treated like pure oxygen according to a industry engineer standard in the EC (EN 144-2/3) , the divers in Europe dive their G5/8 valves instead of the M26/2 ones with any gas.

    Multideco question

Thank you for taking your time, after resetting and then changing to metric units again and entering GF 50/70 and ZH-Lc I get the following results for 5 or 6 min of the deep part of the dive :

Reasoning for no-dive times after DCS hit

IMHO Dive 4 of the series might have been within NDL but not "well within" but at the fringe if the 35min were spent at 30m. dialling in any sort of conservativity factor would likely have required deco.

    Multideco question

Thank you Nirvana, I had thought the algorithm would be implemented teh same on Android and PC, but you were right, dialling the same values into a freshly downloaded Version of Multideco onto my PC I found different values. MultiDeco 4,01 by Ross Hemingway, ZHL code by Erik C. Baker...

    Multideco question

No, I rechecked it after finding the slow increase in deco obligation adding singele minutes to the deep portion of the dive. There is another big leap between 9 and 10 minutes (leaving all other parameters the same) 9 min @30m with 36min @23m following gives me 28 min deco @3m 10min @30m...

could you please explain this to me? they offer the opportunity to route two IP hoses up and the HP hose down the tank or one IP hose up and the other one down. I have been searching for 6 months :depressed: I have found one but not a second one.

Thank you for your fast reply. I wonder if with sidemound becoming more popular the demand would go up today, it is a very slick reg. You would not happen to have one in a drawer in a back room for me? ;)

    Computer, Has anyone seen this?

the crucial part is "no validated scientific literature" decompression theory is a bit hazy, and repetitive diving has not been investigated as thouroughly as single dives. kudos for reading the manual :cool2:

    Regulator Compatability Question

The Jetstream and Xstream are UPSTREAM regulators whereas most others are downstream, so be sure to have a pressure relief valve either in the regulator hose or a IP port of the the first stage.

    Aqualung Petrel?

Suunto has tried to make a DC with OLED, well design is partly a matter of taste, I am not sure about the placement of the buttons and the wasted space around the display. Suunto EON Steel - Suunto But they do not offer any choice with algorithms :-(
