Go back to skool... nobody forces anybody to do anything of the sort. I'm not a fan of cheney but the man earned his money like a good capitalist and dosn't need to give it to anyone. I am sure his portfolio is full of donations to all sorts of charities, he probably donates more money in one...
Well - in principle I agree with everything you say but I believe I mis-stated when I used the word "untreated". The only thing they are not doing is using chlorine. All of the rest of the steps are followed.
No - this was a column from a major newspaper - I just don't recall which one. If I...
and fill him in on the situation... if he's cool - maybe he'll "suggest" that your wife buddy up with him just because she's "such a special lady". Be sure to tip BIG.
Just throwing ideas out.
I think a lot of divers get certified and then don't go diving for years... i.e. they take scuba in college and then don't go diving until they are no longer sustaining themselves on week-old pizza. Then it's "I've been certified for TEN YEARS!"...
The interesting thing is that municipalities are now starting to purposely dump raw sewage, rather than treated sewage into the ocean (under certain rules like "it must be x feet off-shore" because it's better for the environment then flushing tons of chlorine into the ocean. It turns out that...
BlurBlur, I do appreciate what you are saying but I thought I would make a side note: every new diver feels that their instructor is "very very safety conscious" but in reality in many cases it's because the new diver doesn't know any better. As I started to learn about diving - and I'm honest...
I tend to want to follow the directions of the boat. With that said - I won't ever dive with them again. I'm looking at ocean divers, as I still haven't "Dove the Grove".
Wrist:
1) easier to read
2) one less hose
3) easy to switch to a different reg if my first one goes crazy
4) It's also ON YOUR WRIST which means its not going to get crushed or splatted against a deck or cylinder during surface interval.
5) It's easier to sit down with when making notes...
you'll be asked to show your cards or dive logs (hopefully). They will judge your experience and you'll probably go someplace that it will be next to impossible to go over NDL... you would run out of air before you hit NDL. In most cases they explicitly say "be back in 45 minutes". In Key Largo...
I've never had a problem carrying my regulators on board the aircraft, even after having been inspected by TSA. Usually, I don't advertise what I am carrying however.
Most of the pelican style cases that are of usable size weigh 35 pounds... leaving only twenty to twenty-five pounds for stuff inside... don't you ever go over on your weight allowances?
I wouldn't dive with SeaDwellers... I mean they are nice but they cater to relatively new divers. I was put on a boat full of 12-14 y.o. snorkelers. Right around the corner is "Ocean Divers" and I would suggest them - they expect that you know what you are doing and tend to cater to more...
