I've used my SeaQuest BC on numerous dives without even a hint of any problem with the weight pockets. Are you sure that you did not simply insert them and fail to push the plastic clips securely in? They should clip in with and audible "click".
If you are inserting the weight pouches while...
Hmmmmm...... Sounds odd to me too, though I admit my limited experience and I'm certainly not a pro. I thought maybe looking at the post in its context would give a clue. It's in Basic Scuba Discussions/ Going pro.
Somebody's going to have to explain the logic of not having the reg in mouth...
I went to Fiji in the first week of November '08. My biggest trip yet. But if I had not paid for the trip months before that I don't think I would have gone.
I can't imagine taking a big trip like Fiji in 2009.... but I've GOT to dive. Looks like I'll stay on the CONUSA or maybe a...
I was not impressed with Ginnie for an open water dive. It's just too tiny. I can understand the appeal for the caver, though. Blue Grotto was much more enjoyable for me.
As one suggested the drift dive on the Rainbow River is fun, relaxing. Great visibility.
Vortex Springs may be farther...
Yes, it will ruin your marriage. Send me your gear immediately so as to remove the temptation. I am willing to take the chance with my own marriage just to save yours. Message me and I will send you my address. I will pay shipping.
Some boots have some flattened areas around the collar that tend to keep the tank from rolling when it is lying on its side.
In general unattended and unsecured (secured meaning bungeed, strapped, or in a compressor area or a dive operation's storage area) tanks are not supposed to be standing...
Underwater, perhaps?
Go to one of the Freshwater Florida Springs. You'll surely want to make photos and/or video and the visibility can be great at some of them.
90% of the dives I do are local and cheap. We save up for the occasional treat of a trip. My wife and I have better than average incomes, but I think that the key is we do not carry a lot of debt.
No credit card bills, no car notes or leases. Just a home mortgage. We don't live lavishly...
Hurley: First of all --- I am a dentist. Mentioning that you have a temporary filling in after a root canal causes me some concern if you are going to dive. Often, after the completion of root canal therapy a cotton pellet is place over the access opening of the tooth and that covered with...
Couldn't narcosis be compared to the feeling from nitrous oxide that you get at the dentist? At low concentrations you get a little relaxed and sedated. It higher concentrations you can get pretty heavily sedated. Different persons are affected to differing degrees at the same concentrations...
I was there The first week of November. Water temp was 80 just about every day, everywhere. 3mm Henderson Hyperstretch fullsuit worked just great for me.
No mention of any box jellyfish around Beqa Lagoon.
Well, I'm off to Fiji tomorrow. First timer. Going with my LDS (MTSS of Franklin, TN).
Destination Beqa Lagoon Resort. Plenty of spare batteries for the camera and lots of room on memory cards. I sure hope I'll have some worth sharing. At the least I'll post a report.
Bula!
Hank:
Looking at the picture on your blog --- do my eyes deceive me or is someone holding an oxygen mask against the unresponsive diver's crotch??
Don't remember that one from my Rescue class.
We did call for pizza, though.
You'll get responses from more knowledgeable and experienced people than me, I'm sure.
But... In the light of you feeling this sensation in the upper left chest, but not having any other problems or symptoms afterward I got to thinking about what could produce a sensation in that area. I was...
Okey doke.
Thanks. I used the search but didn't catch that series of posts.
I'm still wondering, like a lot of others, when they will reopen.
What do you think, Fred?
