The airplane is a small Cessna sunk in Aurora Reservoir. This res is at E-470 & Quincy, just east of the Denver metro area.

Blue Mesa was my next choice. The lack of shade though makes it rough. Some tarps or tents would be needed. But if you can drive right up to the waterline, damn that's easy shore diving.

Knotical was telling me about Turquoise too. Has anyone been to the res at Ridgway state park? The park website mentions scuba diving there, but that's it. This is down near Ridgeway CO, NW of Ouray. That would have to be a weekend thing.

I like the Chatfield idea simply because I haven't been diving there yet. Are we allowed to dive in the main pond where the boaters are? Or are divers restricted to the gravel pit? If we wait too long, Aurora will be way low again due to the draw off for drinking. That's ok, but it's hard...

I've been to Aruba three times, and every time I dive with Clive (www.divearuba.com). If you are staying in town, his boat is an easy walk from the Renaissance. If you are elsewhere, he picks you up.

As long as the change is made quickly and discreetly, I don't really have a problem with it. Someone parading around in spandex or speedo's, changing or setting up their gear, on the other hand, is a little too much.

I've yet to see a shark on a dive. I always seem to miss the sleepy nurses. The only time I particularly worry about them is hanging off a line on the back of a boat waiting for my turn to get on. I tend to scope out the bottom, just in case... Yes, Jaws left an impression.
