Wow. You guys go a lot deeper and colder than I do. My best cold water dive has been about 40' and 50 some degrees. No problem at all. I do have the Mk25AF, which has some sort of anti-freeze kit built in. >>shrugs<<

Ugh. You are giving me very little faith in my wife's computer. I sure hope it holds up for a week's worth of diving. :( Although this does make me happy I dive tables. She's trying to talk me into using a rental computer for the week, and I'm really not liking that idea.

Yeah, I saw that. I can't even begin to imagine what it must have looked like before they hooked it, alive and a top predator of the sea. Not that I'd have wanted to see it personally, mind you, but that was an awesome fish.

This is exactly how I took it too. While the thread has veered towards CCV (for completely understandable reasons), I still think the general question is valid.

Primarily overweighting, sure. That's a problem for everyone who doesn't have their weight dialed in. Another problem is if you dive in cold water, and in a thick wetsuit, you'll become increasingly negative as you go deeper due to compression of the neoprene. A cold water diver packs a lot...
