Remember that you will have to do that either with Bootcamp or with a virtual machine like Parallels.

    Puget Sound Fatality

I say this with the obvious benefit of having recently taken a drysuit skills class from Bob (well beyond the basic drysuit cert) and having discussed the incident with him at Redondo last night. So Bob, while I realize that these are to some extent your words, and the teacher in you wants folks...

    Puget Sound Fatality

Hey now, I resemble that remark! My buddy and I just returned from our personal guided dive with Bob, and I can assure you that no violence ensued. He was more than willing to hand over his wallet at the mere suggestion that we would reach for our gats. On a more serious note, we were the only...

    DUI Weight & Trim System

I can echo what others have said, although I use a Seasoft Seawolf harness instead of the DUI - SEASOFT SEAWOLF? Weight Harness. But the concept is the same. I keep the weight pockets low on my non-hips, and it doesn't interfere at all.

I suggest you contact Nick Shore at Macdive: support@mac-dive.com I can only say that I've had no issues through the last several versions. You also indicate that you "tried" Macdive. Not sure it will work if you didn't pay for it.

Light Monkey Vs Hollis Vs Titan

Will do. Really liked the button - very easy on/off and wattage switch. The only problem I had with the older rotary switch was that the whole body would sometimes turn in the goodman glove when turning the switch. The new button solves that.

Light Monkey Vs Hollis Vs Titan

Don't have a specific date, but the last message I got from them indicated it should be in the next few days. There was no option for wide or narrow when I ordered - it's wide, which I prefer for wreck. Ordered from Technical and Rebreather Dive Training, Maryland and Virginia - Jeff Johnson...

Light Monkey Vs Hollis Vs Titan

I've been using a 10 watt Titan for a couple of years, and recently ordered the new 2600. I just got back from Our World Underwater, and had a chance to play with one there. This thing is awesome - light and powerful. One note - rather than the old style magnetic twist switch, they've now gone...

    Prescription mask or Contact lenses?

I recently went from glue-in lenses to bifocal contacts, and I couldn't be happier. I'm 55, and never wore contacts before. Like another of the posters, it was really annoying to not be able to see (my uncorrected vision borders on needing a cane and dog) between wearing glasses and mask --...

Weight integrated BC + Weight Harness

This is another one of those that will generate many opinions. When diving dry, I use my bc for trim weights only, and put most of the weight in a harness. I use the Seasoft Seawolf -- SEASOFT SEAWOLF? Weight Harness - Weights -- very well made and has quick releases if dropping weights becomes...

    looking for reg help

My personal choice is the Mares Abyss 22 Navy. Can be found for low to mid $500s. But I stress that it's a personal preference - you're going to get a slew of recommendations. So go to your favorite LDS and compare.

    Flying with a pony bottle

This has been the subject of at least one recent post on this board. Depending on your source, TSA, airlines, etc., you will probably hear different stories, but I flew with a 30 cubic foot pony in December and can confirm that the valve must be removed from the tank.

D800 Housing - Which is the best?

No problems at all. The camera drops in very easily, just requiting a slight tilt on the left side first. From my comparison, both the Aquatica and Nauticam are built like tanks, including the handles. I settled om the Nauticam primarily because of port selection, and general "feel".

D800 Housing - Which is the best?

I went throught he process last month - D800 with the 14-24 and 105 macro. After much research, I narrowed it down to the Aquatica and Nauticam housings. After physically comparing the two, I went with the Nauticam. For the 14-24 I then got the 70 extension ring and Zen 9" optical glass dome. I...

But seriously, a bungied octo really can save your life

My configuration is a little different. I often dive solo, and use a 30 foot pony slung on my main tank. I have the pony reg on a bungee, but don't like to just leave off my octo (even when diving solo, you just never know). I also got accustomed to a 7 foot Myflex octo hose from cave and wreck...
