Love the Einstein. Where is that? I'm curious, even though I'll have no clue since I've only been once.

    Still need help

You'll find there are a lot of helpful folks on Scubaboard. This is just the test forum where an individual can test adding pictures, quotes, color, or whatever to a post. I just happened upon your post since I was testing something as I wasn't familiar with the new layout. You'll also find...

    Poor's man mask

What d'ya think you are, some kind of Wahoo? I admire your efforts. I hate throwing things away more as I get older. What material did you print with? I don't know much about printing, but it seems like there are endless interesting things to do with them. Any noticeable difference in comfort?

    Yemen

Yes, ScubaSteve was taken when I signed up for SB. I figured as much with respect to your pick of Yemen. The point is simply that there isn't always a rhyme or reason in people's choices or actions, but humanitarian crises are generally ranked with respect to danger to others. It doesn't make...

    Yemen

You (or I) couldn't count the daily tragedy in the world on 1,000 fingers and toes. News has not been in the business of news for decades, at least here in the states. That's why they're registered as entertainment, where they earn by hyping up whatever is hot enough to sell. Like it or not...

Has anybody anodized their titanium regulator?

The more blue the better. Looking good.

Closed Black OMS Slipstream size L

Yes, please. I'd love to try them, if they're available.

Diving from 16 foot fishing boat

Reflective stickers might be nice too, if you there's a chance of any night diving. Around these parts, it's not uncommon for lobstermen to circle dive flags. On one occasion, I watched as they circled a flag and started chumming the water over a friend of mine's flag.

Question Night Diving - requirements, insurance coverage, WRSTC

As with so many courses, instructor matters. For navigation, my instructor watched floating on the surface because her drysuit leaked. The only takeaway from night was signalling. When first starting out, it can be difficult to tell what makes a good instructor from bad. In this case, lack of...

    Drysuit undergarments

This post says the same thing, but has a couple brand suggestions. Any outdoor store would be a good place to look for fleece - in various other posts on this subject EMS, REI, Columbia, and even Walmart have been mentioned as having good varieties of fleece thicknesses. I've seen them at...

    Drysuit undergarments

Marie gave some good advice above. Many active wear brands have appropriate layers that are not cotton. I only have base layers, but I've seen thicker layers before. Wool itches me like crazy, but I love merino wool. I can attest to it's insulating properties with more than a few wet drysuit...

Question Newbie: Worried about water temperature

I favor having your own wetsuit as rentals are often very worn and/or lacking a good fit. When traveling I always bring a couple extra layers in case I feel cold. A vest (with or without hood) has saved me from cold on repetitive dives several times. For warmer locations, where you may not want...

    Question Wenoka service

Google has a hit on Aqualung's site for it, but it comes up with a dead link. There are lots of places still selling the AL squeeze lock despite no knives on AL's site. I'd be surprised if they had parts like that available, but it's worth e-mailing or calling them. It is a nice knife. Perhaps...

    1st regulator, advice appreciated

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Hog. I've never seen them besides my own in Mass, but I like them. As with Deep6, Hog also offers a service class. For local service Apeks would be easiest around here. Many shops look are snobby/difficult if you have anything besides Aqualung or Apeks, if...

Drysuit Seams - Yeah, I know

Looks similar to AquaSeal in Google images. I keep my first cheap USIA drysuit around to practice on - leaks, seals, rings, etc. I'm sure I used way too much repairing that as well, but it's dry. Hopefully yours is too!
