It's really, really stiff on the D4i. The first time you do it you're paranoid it's going to break, but after you've done it once and have a feel for the force required the next time is much easier. What I love is the way the manual doesn't even mention the cable, and leaves you to puzzle this...

I'm a UK 12 (US 13) and the Twin Jet Max XL feels scarily loose at first even with thicker boots, but the spring straps hold them perfectly.

Totally agree - this sucks. And no attempt at communication before taking the weight in the first place. If that was an instabuddy you'd never, ever dive with them again, so why make an exception for a spouse?

I am that mediocre photographer, and I'd be totally mortified if I thought I was spoiling other folks' dive for what amounts to a few holiday snaps. If I was any good it would be a different matter, though. Maybe one day... :crying2:
