    Odd weightbelt vs integrated question

You know I often hear in my line of work there are a multitude of ways to accomplish the same task. I have found after 20 years in the trade, there is usually one way that is far better than the others. The trick is in determining as many of the outside factors as possible before deciding on...

    Odd weightbelt vs integrated question

Well originally when I was talking about having your hands free (as opposed to trying to either cling to your bc or its integrated weight pouches) I was assuming most likely place of entanglement yoke (behind your head) easiest method to remove entanglement remove bc and use both hands to free...

How cold is too cold for wetsuits?

I think 46 degree is my limit for 7mm wetsuit, possibly for diving period. Have not intention of going dry at this point I enjoy contact with my environment. Curious how many people have removed thier mask at depth in water colder than 46? My wife and I do mask and OOA drills anytime we have...

Experiences with ODC - Split from Who to dive with on Oahu

Just a suggestion from the peanut gallery :D. Dont dismiss complaints or deride the ops bringing them to the board. The intial statements about bio etc dont add to anything but certainly make it appear that ODC is at FAULT. The single first post by cwkline clearly rebutts the op and does so...

    Odd weightbelt vs integrated question

Recently been thinking of using my BC weight pockets as just pockets and instead go back to using a weight belt. While thinking about it remembering some of my classes and odd thought occured to me. My original OW class covered weight belts as well as removing my gear and replacing my gear at...

Where, When and How 2006 FYI

Several cases within the report were very similar. Its a cut and paste job on my part so I dont think I got two cases merged. Just checked, no its exactly as stated on page 81 of the report. Maybee DAN has a mix up. Although there were several reports similar to this one so it may be just a...

Sorry if I hurt feelings here. Please keep in mind, I dont KNOW the owner of Dolphin or his father or anyone else who works there. Nor do I know anyone at any of the other shops I commented on (well actually I know an instructor and his family at Sport Chalet, Great People). Truthfully, that...

    Online instruction?

Wow hadn't realized video in class wasnt required. Three courses in two countries all used the in class video (PADI) so I assumed it was required. I would have to agree then that a poor instructor could most definately lower the quality of a classroom session well below that of the E-course.
