You are worried about PP mixing but running 50% through your compressor?
I use "Gas Blender". That's an Android app by divestoclimb.

Pretty sure the n2ition is the same as IQ700 and Nitek Duo. I have a duo and it resets both mixes at midnight if you are not in the water. If you had air (21%) set it stays set.
Mine does flash odd depths when it needs a battery. Had that happen in a few weeks or more than a year between...
Took some friends there for their first trip to the Key Largo wrecks and took some video while we were there. Best conditions on the Spiegel which made for a relaxing dive.

Depending on how handy you are there are some less expensive options as well. I bought my first one and still use that to check all my fills. I do my own fills and when I set up the nitrox stick I built an analyzer that monitors the mix going into the stick. A $60 sensor and $10 worth of parts...
Not very likely, but I'll share where I use that handy dandy chart. It sits on top of my analyser plugged into my nitrox stick. Start the compressor and calibrate using chart offsets (no dry air available for that unfortunately). Setting the analyzer closely to ambient conditions allow me to mix...
I've dove out of the central Florida gulf coast in January when it was 58F (14C) and in August when it was 88F (31C). For me that means 7mm with vest/hood to boardshorts when the jellies aren't bad.
Can't comment on their marketing but all those mentioned are made by Seiko. I think Cressi has the same computer as well called the Archimede or something like that. The buttons look different on that one I believe but the guts are the same. I have been diving a Duo for 3 years now and 3 of my...
If I'm wrong I'm sure to be corrected but I believe hydro's are a DOT regulation that applies to "compressed gas cylinders used for interstate commerce" or something to that effect. If so, that hardly applies to your average privately owned scuba tank being filled by a privately owned...
Reasons for owning a compressor varies greatly and it's hard to boil it down to a simple yes or no answer as to whether it makes sense. I live in a town that has 2 lds's but wouldn't fill tanks at either. The next closest fill station is 2 hours away. I could fill where I dive but the average...
Hi,
I have a different opinion on this than most but will give it anyway. I think that most of us agree that diving to rock bottom in open water is a fair way to stay out of trouble. If you follow rock bottom rules you are keeping enough gas in reserve to allow both you and your buddy a safe...
No permission needed. I think the gate is open untill 4pm maybe 5. Limited parking outside gate but you can drop of gear at the water. You can also go to the church camp and they have plenty of parking closer to the water, but it's not free. Still good to support them I think.
I would recommend some diving in Palm Beach or there about. It will be a change from a week in the Keys but imo even better diving.

Just an FYI. I have long since given up on my octo inflator, but you can easily vent with it in your mouth. You do have to break horizontal trim to do it, but if you are head-up and push the big square the wing will dump no matter what you are doing with the reg. They really aren't as bad as...
If you decide to do this, I have a RiteSource with the inlafator hose, an adaptor to convert any lenght LP hose to RiteSource as well as a Dive Alert 2 that goes along with it, all for sale.
Only used for ~20 dives and I'll make you a deal.
