The list is missing the following
When Chuck Norris jumps in the water, he doesn't get wet. The water gets Chuck Norris.
Chuck Norris is the only man to ever defeat a brick wall in a game of tennis.
Chuck Norris isn’t hung like a horse. Horses are hung like Chuck Norris.

On a seperate note, a 6m(?!) Great White was spotted off another nearby Perth beach. Haven't found any onoine articles, since it was just on the 6pm news which was 20mins ago.
Quite a coincidence considering Aus shark populations are decreasing, then having two seperate great white shark...
Sounds like a form of green algae. A already mentioned various algae have air sacs to aid buoyancy and other processes. Really doubt it it a 'plant', but without seeing the actual organism I can't say for certain.
As for the theory, it sounds a little crazy too me lol :)
BC: Cressi Sub S-114
Regs: Mares Nikos R2
I love my BC. Regs are fine for my current needs, but I do daydream of some fool dropping a tank on the plastic 2nd stage and smashing it to pieces, thus scoring a new reg set :D
I find steroid based nasal sprays are a lot more effective at stopping hayfever/allergies/sinus issues, especially most of the tablets I've tried recently have no effect. Might take them a few days to really start working, but once it works, welcome to a life where no sneezing or runny nose is...
While harvesting seagrass for replanting a few weeks ago, I almost swiped a scorpionfish (stonefish relative). Didn't see it until it shot off into the seagrass bed due to low vis and stirred up sediments. had gloves on, but wouldn't like to test them against a scorpionfish's spines.
I have a low volume/light weight mask and don't use a snorkel. I find that when I move along the drag from the snorkel feels like it's about to rip my mask off my face. Like some people already mention, swimming on your back with a back inflate bc is the way to go :)
Picked up a pair of Oceanic Vortec V12's the other day for a good price at a lds. Tried them out before I bought them and was definatly impressed with them, though the dive mostly involved me sitting at the bottom collecting seagrass. Can't wait to use them on a real dive.
During my first pool dive, after I jumped in realised I didn't tighten my weightbelt as much as I should of. While the instructor was going over what we have to do/answering some questions the weight belt slipped out of my hand. I called over the instructor for a bit of help, and the dm checked...
1. Take a cleaver as your dive knife
2. Say that you don't know if it's safe to dive since your a heroin addict who has been going cold turkey for 3 days.
Apologies if similar things were already mentioned
I've seen a few ppl around perth with drysuits, but the majority use 5mil or even 3mil suits. Since you'll be over in winter, a 5mil would be minimum as already mentioned, and a hood might be a good idea.
Rottnest would be the place to check out, as well as the Busselton Jetty and HMAS Swan...
