Glad to hear that the tape worked out. I took a little bit of a different approach to building mine. Although mine isn't near as good looking as the ones posted (or really complete) it has worked really well. The hardest part for me is the fact that I have to deal with a heavy surge and since...
I really don't think so, I'm actually glad the op started the thread. I'll be traveling there for my first time here in the near future. I've read plenty on all the positives but I prefer to not be oblivious to some of the shady things that happen there so being able to know about these things...
I dive with the hero, just spend the 40$ and buy the dive housing from go pro. That's what I did and the housing works great.

Wow. I'll be keeping my eye out now to confirm or bust this now. If I cant use BT with computer programs with out buying it when that should be included, then I would almost definitely go elsewhere. I can buy BT elsewhere and for less money too.

Couldn't have said it better, I'd love to have one before the end of the year and even before a upcoming trip but it seems like a bad case of procrastination. One thing I am curious about tho is you buy the EANx and TMX version will you still be able access a BT function.

Sadly I was afraid this was going to happen and that's why I didn't pre order. Sucks too cause I really love my harness and probably would this as well but they have flat out dropped the ball on this imho.

Sadly Its very unlikely for me to join, but the best piece of advice I can give is don't just swim due east. Swim more SE going out and SW coming back in. That current can be strong enough to pull you under the pier (happened to me my first time out there) so it helps to compensate a little...
If you plan on buying your own tanks defiantly go with DIN. That way later on down the road if you decided to do something more technical it's one thing less to buy. As far as the tanks each (aluminum and steel) has its own set of pros and cons as others have mentioned. I would compare your...
If your sticking to rec depths and diving, then why not just use the two alu 80? Cheaper and I think lighter in weight.

That might actually be even better as long as the surface it is adhering to is prepped properly. I don't have any experience with that stuff so idk.

I'm sure not many, but it sure as hell beats the alternative of waiting to find out if you lost that lawsuit too. As someone has mentioned tho, tanks can be analyzed before hand and rightly so.

Ooooo yes I remember mine, it was about three years ago now and it was the most relaxing thing I had ever done. I was diving the jetties at Saint Andrew state park in Panama City, FL. My dad who was my buddy had turned back with my little sister and left me to finish the dive. There was a...
From what I've read 1: use a new razor blade for every cut 2: put some kind of jug in the neck seal before you cut. 3: cut off very little at a time. As for the zipper they make zipper wax/lube just for that reason of zippers becoming difficult.
I'm not a dry suit diver (yet) but this is just...
I have a closed DSMB with a opv. Air only escapes when I say it can, its even inflated and hanging in my living room right now lol.
