    Fused ankle/fins?

Not that I plan on going in this direction, I do see a product called Shin Fins, specifically intended for use with a fused ankle. https://shinfin.com/ I am not recommending these, as I know nothing about them, so I am just passing info and possible options along.

    Fused ankle/fins?

I had completely forgotten that I had started this thread. It has now been 3 years since I did finally undergo the full fusion of my left ankle. I do not regret the decision, as it did relieve the pain, and I can now actually walk better, and further than for several years before the fusion...

Keeping cell and car keys safe while diving

When rental trucks first began to switch over, they too came with a metal key, hung from a ring, with the fob. My brother removed the fob, and secured it up inside the dash, near the ignition switch, and we took the key diving. Soon though, they had switched over to the electronic keys, and we...

Keeping cell and car keys safe while diving

We have dived a good bit on Bonaire, where divers are advised to leave Nothing at all in the vehicle at the dive sites. When the rental trucks went to electronic keys, we had to devise ways to either hide a key ( risky behavior) or find a way to continue to bring the key on the dive, as we had...

Keeping cell and car keys safe while diving

My brother, @dbnewton purchased a very good waterproof case for electronic keys, and such. Other folks have repurposed old dive light shells, for a waterproof container.

Keeping cell and car keys safe while diving

:sadangel: I missed a greatly anticipated evening with friends, who I seldom see, to spend a wild evening, trapped in a tow truck with a raving lunatic, racist, scatterbrain, driving forever because he got lost. I probably have more stories to share from that night, than had we all met, but...

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

When the Blue Hole was a full 3 hour (if I recall correctly) ride , each way from our resort, I was one of those who voted it down. Now, with it within easy reach of us, though, I will not pass it up, even knowing it might have disappointed some. Even if it turned out to be just another hole in...

If the trip sells out, isn't it possible that another SB member might take your spot, and then your deposit be returned once you space is filled?

My ankle was from a problem.i was born with, and the broken tibia on Coz Invasion happened just standing by the rinse tank. We too carry DAN Premier, just in case we need to get evacuated to someplsce with modern medical facilities than a remote dive destination might have available.

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

As far as that last, we divers tend to find the best diving in more remote parts of this planet, where medical care may not always match that which we are used to back here at home. I definitely want insurance coverage that can, and will get me back to where i can get that sort of care, should...

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

Friends of mine in the Vintage Dive forums, those involved with the Kraken Argonaut enjoy diving as a group on Bonaire, with the old style, tank, hardpack, DH regulator, and no BCD. Correct weighting is required, and not needing thermal protection helps with weighting. When i learned, and dived...

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

How did we ever survive without a BCD, an alternate, safe 2nd regulator, and an SPG? ;) At least I had my massive, US Diver (Sea Hunt style) leg knife!

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

My kids' first 2 dive trips were to Culebra and Bonaire. Melissa and Morgan missed out on the joy of cold MA and ME ocean diving being their intro to real open water diving! They did train in Lake George, in NY, in the Spring, so at least they got a taste of just how miserable diving can be...

    ScubaBoard Invasion Central 2025 Belize

Depending on the prevalence of lionfish, I'm not intending on focusing on hunting, but that could change if I see the need and opportunity. Does the resort provide pointy tools for harvesting the pests?
