New Swim Grid for Uncle Pug (the boat)

That swim grid is looking pretty good. Should help you and Shane and DD and whoever else a lot in getting out of the water, not to say anything about adding a little weight to the back end of your boat.

My first Pool Dive -- Long !! & need help to float for session #2 tomorrow

Sounds like you guys are just "swimming" :D along with your class. Your class must be really enjoying it if all of you are already talking about places to dive and taking more classes.

My first Pool Dive -- Long !! & need help to float for session #2 tomorrow

I just completed my classroom and pools sessions and my first two OW dives (two more this coming Sat.) The first pool session, we had to swim 425 yards, tread water for 10 minutes and then swim under water (with no aids except little swimming goggles were allowed) for 50 feet. We were told...

A 7mm, 2 piece wetsuit should work just find for dives to 60 feet or so. I just did my first OW dives up here in Puget Sound, and to tell you the truth, I never even thought about getting/being cold. Remember, the 2 piece wetsuit will give you 14mm over the upper legs and trunk area of your...

Paco; Welcome to the Forum. And you are right, there is a lot to learn from all these learned divers out there from all over the world. Warm and Fuzzy???? Do you ever dive in cold water? You won't be feeling so warm and fuzzy, unless you are in a dry suit.

What air level indicates your dive is done?

mchiapetto; I am new to diving too, at least this time around, but to kinda answer your question, you have to know what kind of dive you are planning. If it is a shallow dive, say to 40 fsw or so, you can decided on a lower pressure than if you were doing a deeper dive, say to 100fsw or...
