    Review Seaskin Nova drysuit

I go left arm, then right arm, then pull over my head. I also go left arm first for getting into my harness, finding it easier to get the dump valve through as the first move. The suit will also break in quite a bit over the first little bit. I have two identical Seaskin Novas, based on the...

    Nautilus Lifeline Radio Disassembly

Great Success !!! I just received the battery today, via Aliexpress, and can confirm it seems to be working properly. I did have to rearrange the pins of the connector, matching up the red, black, and yellow wires to the original. The connector is identical, and reassembly is easy. It's...

    Xtar DL1 Laser initial impressions

another update.... got the DL1 out for another weekend of diving in Tobermory, this time with a better camera setup. We were finally able to capture how the lazer actually looks underwater. The photos were taken on the Forest City, @ a max depth of 150 ffw, 40°F. Lazer worked as expected...

    Xtar DL1 Laser initial impressions

Hey everybody! I just wanted to add a little update to this review. Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending on your outlook) the weekend we had in Tobermory was wonderfully sunny, with incredible visibility. Photos and video of the lazer just wouldn't show up well on camera, no matter what...

    Nautilus Lifeline Radio Disassembly

are you planning on using the cell as-is plug and play, with it's board.... or planning on swapping the original lifeline board to the new cell? *edit just looked @ the photos again and it looks like at minimum you'll have to change the orientation of the wires on the plug of the new cell.

    Nautilus Lifeline Radio Disassembly

this thread is amazingly well timed. I acquired one of these a few months ago for a song, and found the battery wouldn't last very long at all, and the unit would power off. It had sat in someone drawer for years without battery maintenance. I was able to update to the latest firmware, but...

Question Dive shop won’t hydro test tanks due to previous hydro test stamp placement?

looks too low on the shoulder. I'm only newly PSIPCI certified, but that would be my main concern....seconded by the fact that stamp is not a legit hydro stamp would make me very suspicious.

Question Reg service in SF Bay Area?

if there is nothing actually wrong with your regs, right before a trip is the last time I'd be looking to get a service. This is especially true if you won't be able to get them in the water locally before leaving. If you're doing a reg service class soon, and they're functioning normally, I'd...
