    Analox CO sensor testing question

I'm in that exact boat. I picked up the same analyzer for next to nothing...knowing it, and it's sensor were quite old. It still seems to function just fine though, always showing a zero when you would expect it to, but rising to a reading of 2 when a long held breathe is exhaled into it.

Two lake huron dives for inspiration!!!! And maybe a wreck diving book? Or great beginner scuba book?

I have a 40lb Halcyon wing on my Coldwater single tank rig. Works great and I've never noticed any "tacoing" or excess drag. I use a 30lb DGX wing for warm water travel, but that's because I'm a gear hog....

    Atomic dealer

I remember someone posted a comparison of jam nuts with different widths, and from differing brands. I believe most would play well enough with each other, but there was a certain hose+reg+jam nut combo that left very little sealing area for the oring...

    Atomic dealer

post a picture of what you've got going on.... something is screwy here. I've got a dozen Atomic second stages on regular hoses (with jamnuts) sitting right in front of me at this moment. I also have a pile of Atomic swivel hoses sitting here to compare to.

    Atomic dealer

it sounds like you've had the actual swivel come apart. Atomic regs will take a regular low pressure hose, albeit with the use of a jam nut.

    Scuba Diving in Costa Rica?

have them get advanced before going.... August is a great time for the Bat Island bull sharks, but it requires AOW.

Looking for Dive shop recommendations near Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica.

my wife and I dove with Rocket Frog in August last year. We did a day each of local Guanacaste diving, Bats, and Cats. We brought all our own gear, so I can't speak to their rental gear, and they picked us up on the beach of our resort, so I can't speak of the quality of their shop, but we had...

Best Easy Dive Destination for Buddy with Health Issues

another vote for Curaçao. On my last trip there, and few weeks ago, we did 5 days of boat diving with Ocean Encounters. This has become our regular Caribbean trip over the last few years. On a couple of those days, we had an older fellow on the boat using a wheelchair, who could walk, but...

Question Which brands make the best made to measure drysuit?

I can't see any reason to spend more than Seaskin. I have 2 Novas, My wife has 2 Novas. They've been nothing but great over the last few years that we've been diving them. Our original suits became our backups, as there can be long wait times for repairs during our relatively short diving...

    Question Nautilus Lifeline Desktop Software

I ran into connectivity issues when using the old software on a new notebook. I run it on an old Vista unit (kept for 90s era bmw diagnostics) and it works great. Love the first generation.

    Need a new wetsuit

I've had pretty good luck with Henderson wetsuits. I currently have (2) Thermaxx titanium 3mm, and (1) Greenprene 3mm. Huge range of sizes, and very stretchy. I also use a Hollis neotek 8/7/6, and I like it. When and if I need a wetsuit warmer than a 3mm, I plan on looking at the Neotek 4mm...

Divers Den Tobermory, Canada - Upgraded to Adventure Tobermory 2025. New Dive Operator(s) Welcome! We Look Forward to Diving Again!

besides the wrecks, which are the primary draw, there are geological dives, and you do see some fish. There's a grotto (like a baby cave dive) and some walls. The Niagara II is like a jungle gym for divers... We love it there, and spend 6ish weekends a season up there.

Divers Den Tobermory, Canada - Upgraded to Adventure Tobermory 2025. New Dive Operator(s) Welcome! We Look Forward to Diving Again!

We've (wife and I) got our adventure and fill passes for the season already. I'm pleased to say there are some really nice, new additions including night charters, and regular "trifecta" days. They want to keep diving alive in Toby, and get more divers in the water. We have booked a bunch of...

Can I use normal clothing for undergarments for single cold dive?

I was on a dive charter in Tobermory once, where temps at depth are in the low 40s, and a guy removed his drysuit to reveal blue jeans and a sweatshirt. I was surprised to say the least, but clearly, you can dive in just about anything really. Will you get the best performance ? likely...

    High end drysuit comparability

Canadian here. Seaskin Nova owner here. My wife and I have 2 Seaskin trilams each. We've had no issues whatsoever. The first suits are a few years old, have over 100 dives (lots of those in steel doubles), and still look and function great. Not a leak yet. The newer suits are couple years...

Short hose for Atomic alternate reg

^^^ this is the absolute best solution. I have 4 atomic swivel hoses that I would love to cut down to 22"-24" , but I just can't stomach the price for what is quite a simple fitting.
