Just finished my PADI Open Water Diving Course. Now what?

Good to see you're proud of your city's outrageous cost of living! Always nice to have something to use as a status symbol, especially true of an overpriced home... Sorry to see that you interpreted my post as "an online debate". I wasn't being sarcastic when I told you I looked it up (which...

    For Hire: Divemaster

Sorry to see you took it so hard. I am by no means financially blessed either and my comment had nothing to do with money. It had to do with experience. Not every dive has to be made of a dive boat at the rate of $120 for a two tank dive... If MY comment was offending to you then I highly doubt...

    DFW airport questions

Skylink is awesome. I've got to say it seems like I connect with my gates in almost half the time with it. They move considerably faster, even the doors. "Now boarding, move clear of the doo..." *smash* as the doors close on someone's luggage since they got in and the bag didn't quite make it.

Yes. But I didn't know how much. I just looked up some median costs on things. Outside the city center a 1 bedroom apartment averages 950 C$/month? That would suck. Good to be enlightened on the situation though... ---------- Post added August 13th, 2013 at 12:39 PM ---------- There aren't...

    DFW airport questions

Lol remember the old underground one? It went down the track bouncing off the walls and every now and then you'd see someone totally eat it if they weren't holding on? Good times.....good times...

That DEFINITELY takes the record for the highest I've ever heard. $600 for advanced? That takes 1st by a very, very wide margin. I don't even want to know what they charged for Open Water :shakehead:

Being bilingual helps a lot too. I'd also get more diving experience. 10 years of diving and only 200-500 dives doesn't reflect: "experience in oceans all around the globe. I ran my own dive and sailing charter for a few years in the Caribbean". Even at 500 dives that's only averaging 50 a...

    Question about saliva build up

This is true. Just remember to hold on to the reg. Hard. And when you've thrown up, resist that force to make a huge forceful inhalation until you can hit the purge button to clear everything out. Just sayin...

    DFW airport questions

List of airport with GOES (may not have the most recent ones) is on the ol' Wikipedia. I didn't feel like digging deep for it on the government page. They don't seem to advertise this program a lot. If they do, I don't know where...: Global Entry - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Used Gear... Is this a good deal?

We get people who come in with Dacor every now and then. Our service tech has never had a problem servicing them...

Used Gear... Is this a good deal?

Depends on what the inside of those regs look like. I've seen nearly new regs that appear to be new and are corroded horrifically inside the first stages. Considering the BCs sell for $25 to $50 on eBay each and the regs $60-100 I wouldn't be jumping at $225 and that's not even considering...

    Elephant Butte???

That's where we do our training in the warm months with the exception of this year due to water levels being low enough to eliminate walk-in diving. We had a guy nail two very sizeable catfish there last weekend. Most of us that go out are spearfishing when we aren't training. Viz has been...

D400 I need an o'Ring or the kit that comes with it. Help! can´t get one.

I never buy the Aeris battery kit for my dive computer. $10 for a CR2450 and an O-Ring? Please. Buy the CR2450s 10 at a time online and you they're around $1 each. O-Ring = a few cents (bulk purchase, but some of us really need lots of types of o-rings for service).
