Trouble getting into and out of Honduras

I agree. Possibly. The OP hasn't been really clear about what her routing was but, after looking at her post history, it seems that she had planned a 6 week trip through Central America with Nicaragua as the main destination. While not 100% clear, it seems that she flew into San Jose, Costa...

Trouble getting into and out of Honduras

:rofl3: Wow! You sure couldn't have made it any clearer that you have absolutely no clue of what a diplomatic mission (i.e. embassy) is. You may want to educate yourself here before you embarrass yourself any further.

Hey genius: why would Zelaya stay in the embassy of the one country that has sworn to arrest him? You are just a sad liar.

kimanjo, Another thing you may want to try is to contact the Honduran embassy in Managua and see what they say about your problem of getting to SAP by land and/or about the road situation inside Honduras in general in case you choose to fly to Honduras. Trouble getting into and out of Honduras

Have you checked with TACA if they would change your SAP to Miami flight on Tuesday and let you fly from Managua via San Salvador instead? I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't let you do that even for a small fee given your situation (right now the fare on 8/4 is $570 per person)...

Would You Go To Bay Islands, Honduras?

It is well known that Hugo Llorens is sympathetic to the coup leaders. Llorens was in charge of Venezuelan affairs on Bush's National Security Council during the unsuccessful 2002 coup attempt to remove President Hugo Chavez from Venezuela. He was also in contact with the Honduran coup leaders...

US State Department Issues Honduras Travel Advisory & Reality

My guess would be that if your trip is solely to Roatan, you should be ok unless there is some kind of civil unrest at the time of your trip. My trip, on the other hand, includes a stop on the mainland, and thus I feel I need to pay closer attention to the situation as a whole before I...
