    PLBs Can Save Your Life

That I don't know. Out of the holster it's 6" wide, and I want to say 25 feet long? I don't remember where I ordered it from to look it up.

    PLBs Can Save Your Life

About 7" tall x 1.5" diameter. It's a cheapy nylon belt case type of deal. There's a 2" strip on the back that can go over webbing. I have mine attached to the canister with the screw clamp. They live together now.

Cleaning a mask in the dishwasher

Apparently it's not a personal attack to joke about an individual peeing in their wetsuit, but it's a personal attack to joke about being unable to hold our pee. Seriously mod?! We're all friends here and we're not in basic..... Sorry @Scuba Lawyer apparently my joke about your incontinence...

    PLBs Can Save Your Life

It could have been more clear. NOAA would contact your brother, who would contact the embassy. NOAA would contact the local authorities. This is what you were implying correct?

Cleaning a mask in the dishwasher

Bulls**t. I don't pee in my wetsuit, and never have. However, I also put it in the washer, there's all sorts of junk in the water, and a "fresh" water rinse bin is a laughable suggestion at best. I will piss in a pair of board shorts though, just up current of the group if I can manage.

    PLBs Can Save Your Life

The problem with small, custom-fit cases, is that you end up needing a ton fo them to actually carry your "come get me" stuff. With 1 canister, I can carry a PLB, glowstick, whistle, mirror, dye pack, granola bar, fresh water pouch, and have enough room for a Nautilus is I wanted to go that...

Lake Pleasant, AZ, adjust for altitude?

Posts from the A&I thread that do not relaye to that accident have been moved here. We encourage you to continue your discussion and debate in a tespectful manner towards one another. The water level does vary, 40 or 50 feet or so. Regardless, where they were diving is shallow, benign, and...

The darth vader helmet didn't kill the demonstrator, Edd Sorensen with split fins, Dive Rite has Anarchy Blue XT's, and silicon mouthpiece manufacturers also make bongs.

Lake Pleasant, AZ, adjust for altitude?

I don't know what Lake Pleasant you are talking about but it's neither. Sure you can hit 230ft at the dam, but recreational diving areas are relatively shallow. Sounds like they were at Vista Point, you can hit 150ft if you swim far enough and the water is high enough. Last time I was there on...

Revo- Bottom Heavy- Looking to Fix

@Dsix36 is the rEvo expert around here. If anyone is gonna have a real answer short of "ditch the rEvo for a better unit," it's gonna be Don. That being said, one of the "joys" of diving a rEvo is the upright trim and the crappy WOB (comparatively) if you actually get it flat in the water. Most...

    Transmitters position?

I've had an inordinate number of failures with button gauges, both personally and at a former employer. Functionally, the inability to clock them is annoying. Their resolution may be fine for something like a rebreather bottle where you don't really care about accurate information, but for...

New charges for Sotis (Add helium)and Emilie Voissem (Nexus Underwater)

Hey, if anyone wants to help ol' Peter out, the good doctor has put up a gofundme page for him! I'm half tempted to donate $1 and say, "I hope you enjoy prison, use this $1 to buy something nice at the commissary for your boyfriend." Click here to support Legal help for Peter Sotis organized by...

    Transmitters position?

Eff that noise. Button gauges are junk. Keep the SPG's in your save-a-dive kit and don't even bother buying button gauges.

    Dimension BC

You can't blow it up like a normal jacket BC. You want to add just enough gas to float you, then you kind of raise your legs and lean back. Make sure your weight is well-distributed. It shouldn't push your face forward unless you have too much gas in it, and all of your weight is forward. Try...

How to get into salvage diving?

Find wreck that no one knows about. Loot for all it's worth on the black market. Cash out immediately. Move to a tropical island with numbered banking and no extradition treaty. Go diving for fun and pleasure. Leave the salvage to commercial divers who are getting paid big bucks by a company to...
