Apeks DS4 with XTX50, one of 5' hose and one on 22' hose. Sealed 1st stage. Down the road, pair it up with another DS4 and you have a nice doubles rig. E-bay the extra hoses.
It is tragic, but it doesn't seem to be SCUBA related. The man who died was a snorkeler who got injured getting in/out/to the water and his would be rescuers became victims.
If you do some freediving during your surface interval, you're body is not going to off gas as efficiently. That could be a problem when you go to SCUBA again.
You were posting about a computer that will do both free and SCUBA and it was wireless AI.
My Aeries Manta will switch between SCUBA...
It would be a crappy free diving computer if it was wrist mounted and was not wireless AI.
So you want a wrist mounted dive computer that is wireless AI?
Aeris Epic does. DiveAeris.com - Scuba Diving Computers - Epic Hoseless Dive Computer Watch
I'm sure there are a lot more.
Just a wee bit.
It is a way that politicians can say that they actually did something for an issue, but not really have done something to improve the issue.
One thing to remember. What works in the tropic may not work that well in your local colder waters.
If you vision your self something other than a vacation diver, get gear that will work for your local conditions.
For instance, get an 'environmentally' sealed or sealed 1st stage.
I sort of read though his blog. To me is argues that something is out of balance.
The first graph shows an average from '79-00. It then shows the '06-07 season and then this season. It references two season against 21 to justify their argument.
So what would you say if the '04-05 season...

O2 is only required if partial pressure blending is used, regardless if it is 22% or 100%. 100% O2 is put in the bottle and then topped off with air, 21%.
If your LDS banks nitrox, then tanks don't have to be O2 cleaned for up to 40%.
Taking the valve off the tank...
Moderator, please link this thread to the one in Conservation. OP posted the wrong Senate Bill info Garrobo may have sent an e-mail to Hawaii requesting support for some Highway, Transportation Bill. There is also debate about the bill because it doesn't go into effect until July 1, 2050.
I thought Dacor was no longer in business, but they do seem to have a website. In the last year I've ran into students who got 'great deals' on Dacor regs they found on e-Bay, but as soon as they went to get their regs serviced, the shops couldn't get parts for them.
Post this question in...
If you can hook it up and check the inflator function. If it is sticky, no worry, inflators can be fixed.
Make sure it holds air and check all the dump valves.
Everything else should be pretty obvious.
When you looking at regs, that can be a different can of worms.
If you can put an link...
I've been so cold that I couldn't...learned that.
Also learned that your suit is going to smell real funky after a week diving a live aboard in the Caribbean...learned that.
If you have a front loading washer, just throw your suit in with some proper soap.
