    Bolt Snaps

Thanks Rick I tend to prescribe to "DIH" method of diving. That's Doing it Hodgepodge. Taking little bits of methodologies from all walks of diving and applying it to the diving I do. In this case, I've been reading how much emphasis DIR puts on clipping stuff off with bolt snaps so I...

I know you guys are huge fans of boltsnaps, so I figure you'll be able to answer this question best.... What is the best way to attach a bolt snap to any given piece if equipment that I might wish to secure? Thanks :)

    Who liked (likes) this show?

One of my favorite shows ever. It lasted 2 whole seasons, then Roy Shieder left, and 9 episodes into season 3 NBC cancelled it. I thought this was a great show, of course after the sub got picked up by a spaceship and dumped on another planet....well I lost interest. Still have the series...

When to take Advanced O/W Training???

Take it ASAP in my opinion, just take it wherever you'll be doing your diving *most* of the time. If you are diving off NC all the time, then make sure you train off NC. If you are just a warm water wuss then head south! :-)

    My diving fantasy life

My dive fantasy? Easy, find some how to make at least 6 figures off scuba diving 24/7 without the need for formal education. Realistically though amass enough money and training to dive the mt. everest of shipwrecks, the Andrea Doria either that or recover the bazillion dollars worth of gold...

On my last dive to 400 Ft...

I found this thread to be interesting to say the least. Getting into diving I had no idea how hell bent some people were on their ideals when it came to Scuba. I guess that goes for all things human though. I have a question though, having never done any type of naturally formed overhead...

What do you call that thingy...

Thank you JDS, that is exactly the "thingy" I was talking about. I just got into NJ wreck diving this past summer and have seen a few folks using them, and wondered if they had a name. Thanks again for the explination :0)

What do you call that thingy...

What's that peice of equipment that consists of a line looped around the tank valve, slung over the shoulder, and on the end has a massive O-ring for clipping stuff off? (I think it's called an O-ring, although O-ring is a little redundant considering a ring is in essence an O)

Setting new standards for stupid newbie questions - wetsuit color

If its not black throw it back I always say, sure you may look like a tasty seal thrashing around on the surface, but nothing impresses non-divers more than a total black scuba clad entity emerging from the surf. Plus, black is "slimmin" :D

    Dive Munchies

I wouldn't mind a Banana myself after a dive, the boat I dive on prohibits their presence on board though, along with all other banana products.

    pony bottles

Ok, so if you've got a team and all operate on the same wavelength then sure, yes, you would be correct. I, however, am not that lucky and depending on the buddy d'jour I like to think that in a worst case scenario they'd be there for me, but if not I have peace of mind knowing I've got extra...

    Dive Munchies

What are your pre and post dive favorite eat-ables? For me nothing says pre-dive in my mind like a donut, post-dive nothing brings more joy than a sandwhich or soup on a cold day. How bout you guys?

    pony bottles

I use a pony bottle all the time, as it is requird on the boats I dive off. 2 tours is correct though, nothing replaces proper gas management, however, a pony would be most useful in those circumstances you can't imagine would happen. If your diving in exceptional viz and maintain constant...
