    Wing Question....

It appears to be something like the Redwing from AP Valves in the U.K., which is a wing designed to be attached to a bp/w (or in this case, a bcd) as a back-up bladder. Sort of a double Rec Wing-like arrangement. I've read that the Redwing is not intended to be used alone...only as a back-up...

First Computer - Easy to Read Display?

And the reason I bought it is ecause these ol' eyes aren't what they used to be. I've been very happy with it for the year I've owned it. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but gives me all the info I can use. As mentioned earlier, they are made by Seiko, along with the TUSA, the Dive Rite...

Trouble finding a BCD that fits

I dive a Balance with my drysuit and find that I don't need a weight belt. I use 8 kilos split among the trim pockets and the main weight pockets. Good thing I don't need a weight belt because I have no butt and would need to buy one of those as well! Phil

Why did you buy your Apeks (atx/tx 40,50,100,200) Regulator?

I bought my TX100 after reading a lot of reviews, trying regs that my friends use and borrowing a TX100 from another friend. I found that I had less bubble interference than with the smaller 2nd stages although none of the regs I tried were really annoying. I just liked the balance and Apex's...

    dive rite express package

Jonnythan, The reason I asked why Dive Rite is inferior is that I am looking for a double bladder wing for diving twin 12 liter steels in fresh water, sometimes diving wet. I can find double bladder wings from 4 companies: OMS, Dive Rite, Custom Divers (a UK company), and Divesystems (an...

    European Divers!

Hi Dutch-scuba-kid! I've been around for awhile but seldom have much to contribute to the board. Nice to meet you, too. I dive year-round in Holland, but was talking about not having much time to travel except in summer. And hello again Watersprite and belated Happy Birthday! Sharm was...

    European Divers!

Well, except for a week in Sharm in January and 3 weeks in Bali a year ago, I've only been diving in Holland. I was planning to travel to Malta and Gozo with my son this summer, but now my girlfriend and daughter are coming on vacation with us, so instead of flying to Malta, we'll likely drive...

What is required for a doubles setup?

I'd like to ask a question as long as we're on the subject of manifolds. I'm a bit confused regarding the tank valves on a manifold setup. When you close either of the tank valves, doesn't that cut off the air supply from that tank? Or does the manifold setup mean that closing either of the...
