well personally, I was taught 500psi is basically an empty tank. the boat I learned on if you came up just one lb. below 500psi you were done for the day. If you are a certified diver I would say you should be booking a morning am. dive. afternoon/shallow dives are mostly discover scuba...

something to consider when you book. as a cert. diver you would want to book the morning dive, as the afternoons are filled with intros, if you book the afternoon dive, make sure you arrange to get a more personal experience, this may cost more but it will not tie you up diving with intros.

check with the guy that sales boat seats out of hawaii kai. on that force boat. think his name is john.he does rebreathers, tech and most likely dry suit.

layed on my back most of the way ,at that time I hated snorkels and didnt use them...about a half mile swim.... the y.o was much harder.swam out to it once , swam back from it twice lol

um not to brag,but have dove both the sea tiger and the y.o from shore. though thats not to say that these are shore dives,you know the best thing about those dives is there were people there to see me do it. but I have found 50-60 foot depth at three tables but it too is a rather far topwater...

You know on second thought you should call aarons dive shop and ask them to take you diving out to port lock. and you can do a drift into the bay.
