I'm not sure if you quite understand what i'm trying to get at.
Scuba diving is normally safe - when nothing goes wrong. Given the reliability of equipment that's most of the time. However - anyone who doesn't realize what they are actually doing every time they venture into an environment that...
Yeah....but driving a car isn't a sport. How about comparing it to sky-diving deaths, or other "extreme" sports?
You sure as hell don't get 90 people a year dying playing football, or cricket, or baseball etc etc.
It's can actually be pretty hazardous retrieving live munitions from the sea. They can be extremely unstable, especially if there has been any corrosion and seepage.
Not much different to sky-diving.
Scuba is only like that if nothing goes wrong. It is actually pretty extreme, in that it doesn't take much in the way of something happening to produce a world of trouble.
Normal sport is something more like football IMO. Not many people get killed playing...
You guys are really catching it this year huh? I wonder if our typhoon season will be the same when they start swinging towards here. They've already had a few biggies further south.
The world's climate is going to pot.....
Take care over there......
So doing a legal job is a reason in your book to expect to possibly get killed?
Do you really believe in the use of threats and violence to get others to do what you want? :shakehead:
Ok....enough.....I'm out of here.
Japan IS playing by the rules. It's not their fault if you and paul Watson don't like what the rules are though. Every country I know makes deals or whatever (what you describe as bribery) to garner support for whatever is their interest at stake in world bodies like the WTO, or even the UN.
So...
cdiver2 - I'm not sure if you understand the purpose of the IWC. It's mandate is to regulate whaling, not seek ways to ban it completely. In other words....... sustainability, not prohibition.
Maybe this is why so many view the attempts of those who try to subvert it's purpose to an end which...
For those that are interested - Miyamoto Mushashi was a master swordsman who lived in 17th Century Japan. He developed a two-sword style of fighting which left him arguably the greatest swordsman who ever lived. A serialized story was written about him that first appeared in newspapers, and is...
Ok...I've searched but cannot find.
Is there code to embed video from other places except You-Tube?
For instance - this is the embed code from a small video that I would have liked to directly place in a thread...... but I can't find a way to do it:
Hmmmm..... moving to Libya? I hope you like sand...... :D
Not sure how easy it is to get to but I believe there's reasonable diving in Malta. If memory serves me well there are Great White's in the area.
Go to the group album page and look at the "upload images" box. There's a choice next to it of where you want to upload images from. You can select your own albums there.
There's no anger - my posts just became irrelevant and I removed them rather than sidetrack the thread. ;)
