    Perdix AI and bluetooth...

Any news on this Shearwater? Straight out of the box I just used my iPhone and SW Cloud iOS App and that worked. I then used the PC app under Windows 7 and was able to download and view my dives from the cloud service. Yesterday I finally tried the supplied BT dongle for a direct download and...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

NO, be careful the frequency is not above 100Khz it's below that! The Pelagic is 38Khz and as far as I know all of them fall somewhere between 30Khz and 50Khz. You need a SA that can go down into those frequency ranges.

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

I wonder how those Suunto transmitters dealt with multiple divers transmitting close to one another? When you look at the Pelagic signal structure their is a first section of the pulse that remains the same and I think its safe to assume that is the serial number and then the last 1/4 of the...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Nice work. BTW if the file I linked is not playing, just right click it and save it to your drive. I don't know how many people accessed it but my hosting service has now throttled the speed down so low that my browser times out before it starts playing. Here is a smaller MP3 version that you...

    Atomic Aquatic Regulators.

Thanks, but I got those already. I am looking for the rest of the diagram below and one for the second stage.

    Atomic Aquatic Regulators.

i love my Atomic B2. When I first got to this forum I was kind of disappointed at the lack of talk about Atomic Regs. It seems like everyone here loves Deep6 regs or Scubapro. BTW does anyone have a full parts number Diagram for the Atomic Regulators. I did get one with just the Saddle area...

How I Got My Windows 10 Computer to Talk to Galileo Luna via Infrared (An Epic Tale)

I have had so many of these kinds of issues involving windows 10 and older hardware that I just opted for a permanent fix. I bought a used Dell system on Amazon with Win7 64bit installed and use a KVM switch to move between my new PC and the Win7 machine. I honestly find that I use the Win7...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Ok guys I found the signal. I should have stuck with my original idea that the Antenna was the problem and that maybe this signal is mostly magnetic in nature. It turns out the signal is almost totally magnetic and has so small of an electric field that the Spectrum Analyzer cannot detect it...

    refurbished computer

If it’s an eBay seller I would send a message to him asking him to confirm if Cressi did the refurbishing and what is the exact condition of the DC. He

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Don't know, but I kind of doubt it since I am also using a waterfall display and do not even see a blip. Also I tried setting different triggers for the signal and nothing happened. I may be missing something very fundamental but the lack of a detailed FCC filing has me wondering what they are...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

I know the Pro II very well, I had a Pro III and later went with the 7600. Due to craptastic solar cycle I have not been on the air too much. After reading your post I fired up the 7600 and put the beam on 40M and picked up nothing on 38Khz. I really did not expect to see anything on the...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Don’t know I cannot find the article again. I had read about it a few weeks before I made the first post.

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

I said .5w to 1w It's also going to be very dependent on having a resonant antenna which is impossible at the this Frequency. Also the DC receiver is also likely to be rubbish.

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Probably if it was something like a Perdix AI it could work but the watch style units are going to be so compact that it's going to be a nightmare probing around in there. I don't think most people realize how small the components can get in these compact devices. I have to use a 50x...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Don't know where they got that info from but it is a study on" Optical Transmitters" and not Radio Transmitters. I found my info in a study that tested loop antennas 100ft apart underwater in sea water and they found that 10W of RF power at 30Khz was needed to keep the signal clean at 100ft. I...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Water getting into the unit via a leak is not the same thing as the condensation that will occur. It is possible the board is exposed but I know most designers would not leave a board like this without some form of coating. It is highly unlikely that this is a one chip design as this device is...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

The three main things that puzzle me about this device. 1) The FCC data makes no sense! I have looked at dozens of FCC filings and I have never seen one for an RF device that only lists a frequency and then has no power output info, harmonic values or any other data at all. 2) Somebody else...

Reading Wireless Air Transmitter using Arduino

Finding a damaged one is not going to do you any good unless it can be fixed. I would also suspect that they have epoxy or gel coated the PCB as that would add a layer of protection against internal condensation. All in all a lot of work and money on the chance that the problem on the one you...

What paint are you using for tanks ?

I see nothing wrong with painting a Tank. I would think that Automotive paint with some flexible additive would do the Job perfectly.
