I just bought a pair a freediving fins and a normal size booty wont fit. anyone know where i can get a 5mm neoprene sock that will keep my feet warm? i can get a 3mm sock, but i dont know if that will be enough insulation when free diving in monterey. Jordan

I just recieved my pair of spora sub fins. when i ordered them, they told me camo, but when i recieved them, they were a bright green. anyway, im only going in the cold water, and was wondering what you guys use for a neoprene sock? i know a bootie wont fit in there, but a 3mm neoprene sock...

7mm should be fine. around this time last year, i was at breakwater talking to a few guys. they said they just got back from diving in lake tahoe. this was the weekend that it snowed in monterey. they said it was cold, but bearable.

get a 7 mil full body, and geta hooded vest. its layered, but it will definitly keep you warm.

i bought all my gear at 17. it costed a lot, but i work at a dive shop, and i put away money from each pay check to get me some gear that i get at about half off from some of the main dive companies. tell him to get a job

other than being certafied by the local shop, do new divers care about which agency their shop afiliates itself with?

wasnt there another agency like nsds or something like that which required you to be part of a shop? obviosly is not doing business anymore, but it ssi and sdi seem to be doing pretty good at requiring there instructors to be afiliated with a shop.
