So on a trip to san diego a couple months ago, my canister leaked. It allowed maybe a half inch or inch of water in the canister. I opened it up after the dive, dryed the inside, and duct taped the outside. I took it on the next dive and everything went fine.

I currently do not have any dive insurance, but i'm taking a wreck class this weekend in san diego with my lds. Does taking the class give me insurance while im with the instructor? I know i need DAN, but i dont have the funds right now.
