as a matter of fact it does. its got 2 M60s on it. I believe its used for security in the oakland port, during fleet week, and whenver ships come into port.
Edit: internet said it has two .50 cal machine guns on it but when i saw it, they were m60's
I think this is going to be a lot more difficult than any above water recovery operation. At the WTC, they could see, they had cranes which could just pick everything up easily, and they had an almost unlimited amount of personnel resources to use. here, they cant see, they have to deal with a...
unless you make your pool to be 100 feet deep like the one in europe...your business will fail!!!!!!!:D
you should post a pic of the area that you have, so that we can have more of an idea or what you have to work with.
We did 500 yard swim, 15 minute water tread with the last 2 with your hands above the water. then an 800 yard mask, snorkel and fin test(no using arms) and then a 100 tired diver tow/push.
Everything we did was timed, and everyone did pretty well on the 500/800 yd test, as well as the water...
we had our last day of the academy yesterday, and we are now in our probationary period. we mostly talked about what equipment we need to buy and what people expect of us now. Glad to be part of the team!
damn, well we lost over a months worth of posts, but last wednesday we were told that we only had a couple more weeks to go. We did more pattern searches, then we did some out of air emergency drills. I forget what else we did because of the long time that SB was down, but its been a fun experience

The dark side is a helluva lot easier to get into than the good side. The dark side is only voluntary. I got a job on an amublance as well as on a type 2 hand crew...so im on both sides
who is sandroff?
I tinkered around with it to see if it was the light...and it wasnt. I had to pull the protective glass bulb around it off, and in the process it broke :(
i went to tap plastics near my house to see if i could buy a piece of acrylic tubing so i could make a "new" body for my light. they wanted 150.00 per foot of tubing thats approx 4 inches in diameter, and 3/8 of an inch thick
I just checked my battery with a voltage meter, one was saying high 12, the other was saying high 11's...so i dont think its the battery. I tried to check the light, but i couldnt get the "protecter" off the light...im gonna try and post some pictures

We continued to do some of the same "warm up" drills that we have done the last 3 weeks...100 yard swim, then remove and retrieve your mask and weightbelt drills, then more ditch and don. our instructor talked about the history of the team and how a lot has...
It wasnt an official training day, but we had our monthly team meeting. I've been to a few, and this was one of the few with actual training in it. After covering all of the official stuff about last months training, the academy, and what classes are being offered, we took a 5 minute class of...
